loveme4whoiam
Erunánion looks up from his silent reverie at the talk of money, and reaches down to a small leather pouch hanging from his belt. "Erm, since i was not part of the original contract with you and Alenee, i doubt i shall be rewarded any money fromour venture. But, however, i can claim to have a small amount saved away which may start us off on our hunt for information. He places the bag on the wodden table, the sound of coins clinking off each other is distinct in the room. He reaches in and withdraws two silver pieces and places them on the table. "There are eighteen more of these in the bag, and i do not part with them lightly. By giving this monet to the group, i am showing my loyalty to discoverering what mystery lies in wait for us. I ask that we not squander them, but that they be used well." Erunánion sits back, and helps himself to a hunk of bread to tears from the loaf. EDIT: I PM'd Kethruch about this yesterday, but i thought i'd let you guys know as well. I'm in Spain for a week, so he'll be running me character for that time. Try not to break him too much, if its not any trouble. See ya :D
Guest
At the sound of the coins setting upon the table, Orion focuses more of his attention on the group of people that he has half been listerning to. Thinking that this could be a new venture in its forming. He watches and listens more intently.
Kethruch
June 05, 1048 1004 "Twenty silver, eh?" The owner looks at you for a second. "Under normal situations, you could consider yourself rich. But the biggest problem you're going to have is bribing the right people to get into the section of the church to get your information. If it's general knowledge you are looking for, that won't cost you much, just a tithe into the coffers of the service, but for the specialized knowledge, you're going to have to get into the libraries, and that takes some significant coinage." He looks at you seriously, then moves closer to talk quietly. "Of course, if it's money you're seeking, perhaps we can come to some agreement. There are a couple of things in the Corithalion and Arcangelican temples that, how shall I say, are mine by right and were taken by the churches as payment for protection. While you're at your studies, if you wish to get these for me, I would gladly give you a thousand bronze per item." He looks over at the other person in the room. "Ah, and there's serendipity for you. Sitting over at that table is the person who can probably get you into places that you couldn't normally. Besides that, I trust him. He can be my factor on the mission if you wish. Besides his skills, he and I have a working relationship that allows us something that seems to be lakcing in this world, trust." He looks over at Orion, and then moves back. He stands there, uncomfortably, as if he's not sure he's said something he shouldn't have.

Kethruch
Sorry I've been off for a while - physical reasons (for those who know what's going on). June 05, 1048 1006 "They are nothing, really. The first was taken by the Arcangelicals. I think they took it to punish me for not tithing correctly. It is a locket with the engraving of a woman on the front. It's not good quality, but my father made it so it has value to me. You can identify it by the initials KBC on the back. The second is also wiht the Arcangelicals. They took, in lieu of payment of cash, a silver statue of a man riding a horse. It is about eight inches high, and the horse is galloping with the man leaning forward as if whispering something to him. This actually is valuable, and I would like it back for that reason. The third is with the Corithalions." He pauses for a second, and makes a strange symbol over himself. "It is my mother's ring. A silver ring with a single clear diamond in the center, bracketed by two purple stones. once again, though valuable, it is more so to me because of the fact my father crafted it. He again put his initials on the inside of the band, and, though slightly faded from use, they were still readable when some temple noble decided that it should not be buried with my mother." He looks at the group of you, hoping to see that you would accept his offer. Outside, it is now obvious that this parade is done not so much for the pleasure of thos watching, as for the pleasure of the participants in just being plain old cruel to the lower townsfolk. Within a moment or so, it will be at the Windwalker bear.
wesaynothin
"We will be happy to find these for you." Helstar pipes up. "I don't know about the rest of you" he says, looking at the group, "but I would like to e away before that group gets here."

Melisande
Portia looks around at the other memnbers. "Let;'s do it, then, but, sir...What good is our getting the items for you while we are investigating the temples which we need the money to do but we don't get the money until after the items are found?" She looks at him. "Unless we were to get an advance that your factor, or whatever you called him over there, can vouch for."
Emry
OOC - Sorry I've been so out of it lately folks. Too much stuff going on and I didn't realize how long I've been away... Linden nods at the group. "I agree with Portia. I don't mind retreiving these items from the Temple, especially if they were taken without your leave, goodsir. But we need to be paid for our first assignment before taking on a new one. We can use those funds for supplies."
Kethruch
June 05, 1048 1008 "Oh, of course." The man says to you. "With my agent going with you, I guess I can trust you for it. I'll give you twenty-five percent of all of the items up front. That's two hundred fifty bronze times three items is seven hundred bronze, right?" He pulls out a bag from behind a low counter and starts to pour and count coins. "That should be enough for you to get the information you need and the access to get the items I need." He looks out the window as the procession gets close. "I'd get your people in from there, some of these processions can get ugly. It's hard to explain to a noble why you're owed anything from something that is being done in his honor."
