Kethruch
June 05, 1048 1014 The taverner looks carefully at the contents of the pouch, and pours them out into his hand. "Do you want full price this time or next time?" He asks. Before you can answer, however, the answer from Linden comes and his face visibly blanches. "May Eralas visit him soon!" he blurts out. "Here's eighty silver, we'll work it out later." He says to Orion. "Damn. I'd get out of here soon if I were you. There's going to be some unpleasantness soon that you do not want to get involved with." He heads toward a panel and opens it. "He wasn't supposed to be here until tomorrow at the earliest." He mutters under his breath. He looks up to see you still there. "If you don't want to spend the next few days explaining to people that you were in the wrong place at the wrong time, get out of here. I'll explain later when you get back from your research." Emry
Linden, sseing that the innkeeper is visibly shaken from the news of the nobles house colors, hurries back to the table and shoulders her pack. Adjusting her weapons into a more comfortable place she says, "People, I think it would prudent to follow the good innkeeper's directions. I think we should leave. Now. He has provided us with a back door. We should avail ourselves of it." Looking to the new gentleman (Orion) she adds, "Sir, you'll be accompanying us? Fine. My name is Linden. We'll exchange more formal introductions and pleasantries in a bit.... after we get out of here. " She heads towards the panel the innkeeper opens, "Where does this lead?" Kethruch
June 05, 1048 1015 The taverner startles as Linden comes up behind him. "Oh," he says as he uses his body to cover the niche that was behind the panel. "You gave me a fright. This doesn't lead anywhere. You'll need to slip out the back way." He points you toward the rear of the building. Through some gaps that he left and before he had noticed his appearance, Linden can see some rather nasty looking weapons along with a old worn leather-covered case that seems to be overflowing with baubles, very shiny ones at that. (OOC - If you see a file attached with your name on it, that is probably an updated sheet because you broke level. If you don't want anyone else seeing your character, let me know and we'll get it done another way - this is currently easiest for me). Also, I will ne attaching doc's and things that you may need this way as well.)
Melisande
Portia heads quickly for the rear door. She's been in too many of these situations to tarry too long in the middle of something. Besides she thinks to herself, there'll be plenty of time to set things straight later on if need be. "Welcome, what was it, Lord Orion?" She almost giggles. "I am Portia. I will be honored to get to know you better but as we get through this, but right now there seems to be more pressing issues." She then does a quick semi-curtsy and heads out the back door. Emry
Linden looks back at the innkeeper and backs away from the panel. " Ah, right." Turning back towards the rear entry she says, "Alenee....Tiemmo... Helstar... Krixox... get your things. Looks like there is no rest for the weary. Let's go back to the tombs to get paid and then acquire the items for the innkeeper." With that said, She ducks through the door following Portia.
wesaynothin
As Helstar walked past Orion, he laughed quietly. "Lord. Heh, lord lord lord. Hah!" He mumbles to himself, escalating the last bit.
Malchik
Tiemmo sidles out silently, wondering what trouble the innkeeper was talking about. Sometimes he could take advantage of other people's trouble.
Kethruch
June 05, 1048 1017 The back door opens onto a small courtyard, filled with all kinds of things. On the ground is assorted trash and some rubble, and there are lines, some with laundry hanging from them connecting the buildings that surround the hundred foot by a hundred foot yard on all sides. There are no clear passages to the street from here, as the buildings are so close together as to seem to share supporting walls. There are several choices for doors to enter, three directly in front of you, one to the right, and one behind you to the right of where you came into the yard.
