Emry
Linden stiffens when she hears the children. She mumbles "My apologies..." and ducks back out the way she came in, face red with embarassment.
Kethruch
June 05, 1048 1024 (I'll handle Helstar so that things can get moving. I am also taking a small GM liberty here and moving the others who have not posted in a while. To those, if you would not like to continue, let me know and we'll leave you in the inn for now) "If we go to the hill of kings, I can get the money from Beadle, then we can proceed to the temple." Helstar says, beginning to walk toward the hills. Krixox follows, and the rest of the party can or not as they wish. Eventually, all of the party are able to make it through the inn and the house and get to the street where Helstar and the others are beginning to make their way to the hills. Malchik
Tiemmo follows, still muttering about being treated as an idiot. But if Orion won't talk, he may have his reasons. Best to keep an eye on him.
Melisande
Portia immediately takes off after Helstar. "Come on, the money from the tavern guy is fine, but no sense in going in without maximizing our share, right? Besides, were going to need it for food, lodging, and equipment." She motions to everyone to follow.
Emry
"Sounds like a plan to me" says Linden following the party back to the hill. We'll also need to look at those items we recovered from the tomb when we get a chance... she thinks to herself
Kethruch
June 05, 1048 1053 the half hour hike to the hills passes without incident. When Helstar leads you to the site, you find little. It seems that something went wrong, and the only one there is Beadle himself, slowly packing up the last of his belongings. He seems horribly sad; almost on the verge of tears. Nowhere around are any of the workers you had seen the night before. Even those tents seem to have disappeared as well. He notices the party coming up the hill nad straightens himself, apparently trying to put a positive face on an otherwise bleak situation.
wesaynothin
"What happened here?" Helstar asked, walking up to Beadle.
Kethruch
June 05, 1048 1054 "Horrible it is, master Helstar." He shudders before he continues. "My dig has been shut down. Seems the problems at the other dig have caused all of the dig permits to be pulled. I hear Lord Reevelord himself was slain by some villains, but that's not even the worst of it." He looks up, unable to keep the tears from his eyes. "The site is wrong. My lifetime's work has all been for naught. I will never get another permit, and I thought it HAD to be here. You see, after you went off last night, I thought to look a little closer at the beginnings of a carving that was beginning to be uncovered, and it winds up being the coat of arms of Killin IV, whose tomb is supposed to be over there." He points at an area some distance away to the south. Since Killin IV lived only two-hundred and fifty years ago, it can't possibly be what I thought it was." He breaks down again, then collects himself. "I'm sorry, master Helstar. I shouldn't burden you with all of my troubles. I see that the lady who was with you is not here, I hope she is all right. What did you find out about the information or whatever you went to check out? Please give me some good news - I need it right about now."
Emry
Linden walks up beside Helstar. "Mr. Beadle, what exactly were you looking for? I was hired by Bengt Reevelord. We're you two perhaps working together on the same project?"
Malchik
Tiemmo says quietly. "I do not believe Mr Reevelord is dead. Is that good news to you?"
