Shadow of the Fallen
XD Almost ponderously, a large, heavy set man entered through the door. Over head, the bell tinkled and made him look up in his previous slow fashion, but he said nothing. By his look and manner, he was a Beorning, one of the northern tribesmen, and he wore it well. He stood 6'4" (if I read the sheet right) and had a muscular build like no other, there couldn't have been an ounce of fat on him. He wore studded leather armor of a good quality, and at his hip was stapped a fine battle axe. His face was broad and angular, with deeply shadowed eye cavities and a pronouced chin. All framed by a disorderly mop of dark brown hair and bushy eyebrows. The whole deal was quite imposing at first. But as he began to mule about the shop and examine Erollis' wares, he seemed to take on a more docile nature. He still hadn't spoke since his entrance, and so far it seemed as though he had no intention to...
Kethruch
I'd like to welcome Shadow of the Fallen to the thread... June 05, 1048 1126 Eriollis looks up from his conversations and general tidying at the sound of the bell. Somewhat taken aback, he finishes his latest straightening project, and walks toward the huge man. "Good day sir." He says with a slight bow. "Welcome to Eriollis' Emporium of Goods. Perhaps you are in the market for some dainty things?" He laughs, and continues before there can be a response. "Really, though. What brings you here? I would be happy to show you our latest in weaponry and armor, or perhaps you come with goods to sell?" In the back, Gerial looks at Linden, and the glint of joy in his eyes is there for even the least empathetic to see. "Thank you." he says. "I will make it my priority project, though I hope that the boss won't....The voice trails off in Linden's and the others' heads, replaced by an oddly familiar female voice. Ah, it says softly. The one between worlds has crossed the paths of the others. Ever closer is the prophecy coming now to its fulfillment. ..."will be at least a month before I may have anything definative for you." Gerial continues, looking at Linden with a strange look.
Emry
Linden's eyes widen for a split second as she hears the voice and then quickly resumes a look of polite attentiveness."Sir, do I need to leave you any money for you to begin your work? I have some, but I'm not sure if you need an initial payment or if you deduct your fees after you identify and possibly sell these items. I would greatly appreciate being guided by your wisdom." Kethruch
June 05, 1048 1127 "No," Gerial says with a puzzled look. "No, I can handle it from here." He turns for a moment and then turns back. "Excuse me sir, but, you suddenly looked all distant there for a moment. Your face and everything relaxed to the point where I almost thought you were going to collapse. Are you al right?"
Melisande
Portia leaves the back room and is somewhat startled to see the big man in the shop. She quickly looks away. I wonder if that is the one between worlds . At least he would know what he represents. She walks around the shop, trying to remember all of the titles that had been given to the group what seems like so long ago.
Malchik
Tiemmo has pocketed the amulet quietly. A guild associated with a criminal syndicate perhaps? Life was much simpler when he lived rough. He glances at the others. "I have done what I can think to do for the moment. Shall we make the next move?" 'Whatever it is.' He adds under his breath. Kethruch
Krixox looks at Tiemmo, then at the big man who entered the shop. "Well, we might as well gather the rest and head for the Temple, perhaps to get some of this sorted out." He looks at Portia as she comes out. "Everything just about set back there?" She asks her. Melisande
Portia looks at Krixox, motioning to her to come over an ostensibly look at a piece of armor. When Krixox does (please let me know if this is assuming too much) she leans down to her, talking in extremely hushed tones. "Did you hear anythng a few minutes ago, before I came out of the back? I think the big man over there is supposed to be with us for whatever it is that's going on. A voice said "The one between worlds has crossed the paths of the others. Ever closer is the prophecy coming now to its fulfillment", or something like that while we were back there, and I think that might mean him." She turns to pick up a sword and looks at the big man again, then turns back to her whispering to Krixox. Do you think the two of us might turn on our female charm and find out a little about him?" She giggles. "After all, if he is supposed to join us, we might as well find out about him, and he does look big and strong." She turns, giggling slightly and bats her eyelashes as much as she can at Krixox, simulating what she is thinking of doing to the newcomer. Shadow of the Fallen
OOC: Thank you Kethruch, I hope I enjoy being here as much as I enjoyed getting here. The newcomer glanced up from his wandering about as a sudden, though slight reaction occured from several of the others around him. As if something had silently passed between them. Odd, he thought to himself, but otherwise he seemed to pay it little heed. Instead, he turned his attention to the still waiting Eriollis while geasturing to a pair of boots on one of the shelves nearby. "I may shortly be needing a new pair," he began, before geasturing downwards at his feet, one of which he held out for display. "The old pair will soon be worn thin in the sole, and a friend referred me to your fine shop. I may yet wear these out a little more before I purchase a new pair.. And right now I was really checking out a few rumors." He paused for a moment, letting the question come up, 'what rumors?' But he quickly interjected, so that even if the question would have been asked, there was no time, "I'm happy to report that they're all true, and once this pair is good and dead I will return for a new set of boots.. And perhaps some of your 'dainty things'. Till then, would you mind if I looked through your wares a bit? I might find something I am particularly fond of." His voice was deep and rumbling, and went well with his figure. A rich tone that projected well throughout the room, and added a bit to his presence, though the inflection softened the edges a bit. He smiled at the man he had been talking too, a wide grin of white teeth, and did his best to sound convincing.
Emry
Linden repacks the rest of the items and leaves Gerial the jars to study. She goes back into the front room and accidently bumps into the huge man standing in front of her. "Oh.... My pardon good sir, but I didn't (ahem) see you there. You must have come in when I was in the back. My name is Linden, an initiate of Poeved. I am pleased to meet you." OOC - My he IS a big one, isn't he? And here I was thinking I was the tall one at 6 feet! Welcome to the group Shadow!
