Kethruch
June 05, 1048 1129 Krixox looks at Portia and grins. "I wonder if he's into girls with beards." she says, fingering her own as she does so. "I think I'll leave him to you if you wish. He's really not my type. I'm not really attracted to those tall, dark, and muscular types, you know." She breaks out into laughter. Eriollis looks at the big man and smiles. "Very well, good sir." Please feel free." He says with a flourish and a slight bow. "Please, I would be welcome to answer any questions you have." He turns to the others who have entered the room. "Anything I can do for anyone? If not, I must get back to my paperwork." Krixox nudges Portia. "Perhaps you would like him to, ahen, escort us to the Temple? Then perhaps you can talk to him and find out everything you want." She giggles again. "Ah, Linden." She finally says. Is everyone here? Perhaps we should make ready to head for the temple and the answers to some of those questions you had." Shadow of the Fallen
OOC: Thanks for the warm welcome! And, yes, I would have to admit that he is rather large... IC:He accepts the swift apology with yet another smile, more genuine this time, and returns the greeting. "I am Altarus, warrior of the north and woodsman-for-hire. And it is my pleasure to meet you... " He pauses for a moment, as if to say something more, but he doesn't. Instead he motions towards Portia and Krixox, who seem ready to leave, "you should probably be going, now. You wouldn't want to keep your companions waiting." Melisande
Potia looks up and blushes. "Krixox, shhhh." She hisses in a whisper. Then, deliberately trying to be graceful, she turns to the big man. "Good morning, sir," she says, forgetting that a curtsey doesn't have the same look or effect when performed in leather armor. Damn, she thinks to herself. have to remember what my master told me about propriety...'Everything in its place, but more importantly, in its time as well.' She tries to recover from this gaffe gracefully, but winds up just turning redder and looks to Krixox for support. "He is right, my friend." she says to her. "I think we should be going, though it would be rude of us not to impart our knowledge of the area to such a fine stranger. Please, good sir. When you have completed your business here, please meet us at the Arcangelican temple in the castle. I am sure that we might be able to help each other accomplish great things." Kethruch
Krixox nods her head to the newcomer. "It is always good for travellers who meet along a path to exchange information of the path ahead." she says, talking while she gathers up her things. "Perhaps you can tell us of the path that brought you here, and we can tell you the same. For us, we are on a quest of vengeance against one who put down one of our friends and now seems involved in much more than we first believed. Your presence is more than welcome." she says, a twinkle coming to her eyes, "as I am sure that some who would try to stop us would flee from the mere sight of you, my large friend." June 05, 1048 1130 Eriollis has gone behind a desk, pulling out some papers, and putting the documents relating to the ring away. Gerial can be heard singing in the back. What secrets do you have for me, little urns of potteryYou are old but I am bold and I will have your story toldGreat in power those that made youGreater in knowledge though am IGive me then your darkest secretsIf it means reaching to the skyWhat secrests do you have for me, little urns of potteryYou are old but I am bold, and I will have your story told. Eriollis looks up as the verse finishes. "Really, Gerial." He calls out to the back. "Do you have to make up one of your nonsense rhymes EVERY time someone brings something interesting into the shop?"
Emry
Linden looks back at Altarus with an appraising eye. " A woodsman for hire, eh? Well, I don't know if we can exactly hire you, but you are more than welcome to join our group of adventurers. You get a cut of any treasure we find. How does that sound?" She looks to Altarus expectantly.
wesaynothin
Helstar looks the newcomer over, then walks over to Tiemmo. "What do you think of him?" He asks. (OOC: Sorry for not being around. But I'm back. I think...)
Shadow of the Fallen
Altarus, in his own leather, bows respectfully to Portia in return to the awkward (sp?) curtsey. But instead of answering about his past, he replies to Linden's question, "if you would have me a long, it would be an excellent change from a boring existance. Perhaps it will only be for the time being, and for that reason alone I would except no payment. Instead, I offer you my gratitude--This is a rare opportunity for me." He was no longer smiling, instead he seemed once again blank, as when he had entered the building. The barbaric feel that had lightend a bit would have returned if his words were not still echoing into silence as he stood there among the shopkeepers wares. Malchik
Tiemmo is beginning to fidget. He is not fond of being cooped up inside. He nods politely if perfunctorily at the newcomer. "From what we've seen we could do with all the help we can get!" He introduces himself but moves from foot to foot, eager to be away.
Emry
Linden nods to Altarus and then says to the rest of the group, "Shall we be off then? Erollis, thank you for your assistance. I hope that we may patronize your shop again soon." With that, she exits the shop and heads towards the temple.
Malchik
Tiemmo is right behind her. He takes big gulps of air. "I haven't seen so many people all together in all my life until I got mixed up in this", he says to Linden. "And you weren't there at the beginning but still..." He shakes his head. "I don't like the feel of it at all. Should we help each other out? I don't know whether I'm any good as a trainer but I'll give it a shot if anyone is keen and inexperienced with the weapons I use, swords and bows."
