upgradeable player house

I know there are a lot of player home mods out there but what i would

like to see is an upgradeable home. Most of the house mods out there give you

everything for free, i would like to work for mine.

 

I´m gonna suggest wolfhorn ranch for exsample.

 

When you come there first its like in the vanilla version, but with time

and skill and a lot of stuff you could make it better.

Like building a wall all around the ranch and adding defense´s. Maybe a quest

were you clean the water well to 0 rad per drink and the crop on the ranch

grows better.That you can upgrade the out-house´s at the ranch and adding

work/ammo bench in the shack and a sorting tool for varius buildable

things. Repearing the machenery so it makes power for you farm.

 

Would like to see that you can send your companions to the ranch and

that you cant upgrade somethings if a certen companion is not there.

That over time you can make that place into a nice home. Have it so that all

the gadgets must be fixed before use (like a water purifier).

Having it all tied into skill,companions and items (hammers and such)

That your companions patrol the compound walls or perimeter when your

not there.

 

I could go on but Im gonna leave it at this to start with.

I hope someone likes the idea enuff to make it since i don´ t

have the GECK skills to do so.

Well Theres mods similar to this that are in the works like real time settler or RTS for short and then I know I've seen a few threads asking how to do things like this, they were in the mod talk section I believe,

 

oh and theres a large quest mod like this idea.

It involved finding an unopened vault and since you are the first outsider since the great war, you become a major influence on the vault dwellers, and depending on your actions in quests for them and in Vegas the vault dwellers may become a beacon of hope or a new scrouge to the wastes. Its only an idea at the moment though but I'm sure a modder will pick it up sooner or later.

Kind of similar to interactions with the boomers but much better since I found boomer quests boring really. And boomers themselves didn't have much personality or lore to be interesting So I personally like this idea.

 

Upgrades are done by having everything already there, you just can't see it while playing until you "enable" them (like switch house themes etc.) and then some things disappear (disable) and the new objects enable. Theres a thread that explains it better.

 

Edit: Oh I just found a mod you may enjoy until something more comes along

I really liked the rts mod in fo3 and Im very happy to hear that it has arrived fonv as well. This idea is based on it a bit just but skipping the town part.

The Wasteland defense mod sounds very good as well, will be trying that later on today.

Looking at those two i think that my idea is all ready here just in a few peace´s.

These mods take me very close to what i was thinking
