Especially during hard times, live theater provides needed distraction from daily concerns. Plus a night out at the theater would be the perfect place to wear the gowns and tuxedos that some modders have created. I envision some kind of quest like an assassination attempt (Lincoln at the Ford's theater), a kidnapping plot or some raiders or muties crashing the party to kill and loot the audience.
