Okay so when I get in the pod and the TV screen comes down and phases me in, The game crashes to the desktop.

 

I have Game of the year edition.

Anyway my problem was that there was a live iguana in my inventory.

So I ate the little bastard. And got in fine.

Live iguana in MMM is a known 'source' of CTDs. Supposedly, there will be a patch to fix it (at least that's what I read in the mod's comment thread).
