eandre0
Well I've taken a mask from somebody's mod which I've used the nif's for in 3ds max to remove small sections of the mask to turn it into Erik's Mask from the Phantom of the Opera, which I had succesfully made the mesh for. However I had then seeked out how to make a pure white texture to put over it but I couldn't find anything that helped, so I found a texture for the mask out of 3 available from the same original mod which I am struggling to find a way to apply it to the mesh and import it into Creation Kit to then place into Skyrim. So in a nutshell;I have a mesh which I changed from another custom mesh by importing into 3ds and removing chunks of the original meshI then exported as a nifI have found a texture for the meshI can not find a way to place a texture onto the mesh and import into Creation Kit to put into skyrim I have used nifskope in order to try to put the texture on but for some reason the texture option for the mesh does not exist and so that isn't working.I honestly could use help as to what I should do from here on out. This is my first time doing anything like this and I feel like I've done something wrong.
Deleted1308005User
Not a professional in this kind of matter, but did you copy.. What's the branch called..BSLightingShader from other mesh to your current one?If I remember correctly, there's issue related to importing/exporting said branch, so you just need to replace it. (Or add new one, in case it's not even there)Also, you do have the rights from original author to modify said mask? Or is it for personal use only? eandre0
Oh yeah I copied the BSLightingShader but a message comes up talking about how the Nif Versions differ and how there might be unpredictable results? Well I'm really just creating this for my own personal use, but I have seen people on forums looking for what I'm attempting to create so if I complete it and I'm happy with it, I'll definitely talk to him about being granted rights and permission and if he's okay with his mask being slightly modified before, if I ever, decide to upload it publicly. eandre0
Update: I managed to apply the texture onto the mesh in nifskope, but now I'm not sure of what to do,
