ammo effects

If I'm understanding you correctly, yes.

 

Is this a new ammo, or are you attempting to alter an effect on an existing ammo?

 

i know theres these effects

1-damage mod

2-DT mod

3-DR mod

4-fatigue mod

5-spread mod

6-fatigue mod

 

but can you add another effect?

Another effect like what, an incendiary round that lights the target/victim on fire? That's done via scripting, specifically the script attached to the .50 MG Incendiary round (just as an example).

 

i saw that there was an impact script that you can put on the ammo. but the effect i had in mind is intended for the person using the ammo, not the person getting hit by it

Lemme guess - cartoon physics, big-ass round blows the shooter across the room? If that's what you're going for, grab the Obnoxious Cicada mod and look at how he did it. IIRC it took some heavy scripting though, so it may be a bit of a pain in the ass to pull off.

 

i looked into it, and the knockdown in cicada mod is scripted on the weapon itself, not the ammo

Right, my mistake - had to uninstall that mod myself, since the script was always delayed by a good ten seconds (even if it was occasionally hilarious).

 

So, what -exactly- are you trying to do, anyway?

 

make it so some ammo types will increase or decrease the strength requirement of a weapon while equipped, based on how big the powder load is. like using .44 special in a .44 magnum revolver would decrease the strength requirement by 2, or something like that
