OBGE V2 GTX580 Problems

Hello all. I recently upgraded my video card from a HD5870 to a GTX580, which was just released in Nov, 2010. There are only two released drivers so far for the GTX580. I think that my issue with this mod is to do with perhaps the drivers?

I had no issues with OBGEV2 (latest release along with Shademe fixed Dll) including all shaders with the HD 5870. Godrays worked and SSAO worked beautifully along with all shaders. Once I installed the GTX580, updated drivers(correctly) and rebooted, OBGE was not working properly. Godrays would not work and there was a line at the bottom of the screen that was not affected by SSAO. The effect did not feel that great either, not jawdropping like the first time I got the mod working with the HD 5870. Something was off. See screenshot.

I troubleshooted everything I could think of to get this mod working. I even started with a fresh install of Oblivion. I am very confident in my abilities in installing/maintaining mods using OBMM, BAIN, BASH, Tes4lodgen, tes4edit, OBSE, BOSS etc etc. I have searched google, forums to see if anyone has had this issue. I doubt there are not too many people with GTX580's playing Oblivion with OBGE.

After a couple of days messing around trying to get it to work with my GTX580 I uninstalled drivers, removed the GTX580 and put in the 5870 again. It worked perfectly immediatley. No issues whatsover. I am using 10.8 drivers. See screenshot. Kept all settings exactly the same as with the GTX580.

I have no issues with the GTX580 in any other games and Oblivion does not look that bad without the mod and I can run 140+ fps fully modded with Qarls TP3, LOD replacers, Better cities etc. but I love the way OBGE changes my game. So I will continue to play with the HD 5870.

Anyone have any recommendations or suggestions? Should I just wait to see if it is a driver issue.

And yes, Direct X is updated, I have current OBSE, Runtime C++ is GTG, I read "readme's" and try to follow them to avoid issues. Thank you for the help!

You have Anti-Aliasing on don't you? You're issue if strikingly similar to THIS post which later the user made THIS reply as to what fixed it. I think the same applies to your situation. The effect on your screenshot looks identical to the other users, except his was more severe.

I also suggest you read the OBGE FAQ which makes mention of why exactly Anti-Aliasing is not completely compatible with OBGE due to the way it handles depth-buffers.

Yes I have tried AA off and on, different levels. Tried with HDR, without HDR, with Bloom, without Bloom. Without any HDR or Bloom. Tried changing reslolutions, reducing settings to High, Med, Low etc. Turned Vsync off and on. I tweaked the OBGE ini that I saw the author recommend in FAQ. Not overclocking, using stock settings. Disabled PhysX. Tried previous GPU driver along with curent. Used CCleaner and Driver cleaner when uninstalling drivers.

I am going to look into those threads you mentioned. Thanks. I was hoping that the GTX 580 would be like the HD 5870 with more FPS.
