Keukotis
Skyrim and the Creation Kit just recently updated, and I'm now unable to compile any scripts. It turns out that the update helpfully deleted all of the base game source files. Custom script sources and DLC sources remain, but important scripts like Actor, ObjectRefence, etc. all are missing sources. This leads me being unable to compile anything, because I can't extend any of those scripts. Compiled versions still remain, so the game runs fine. Verifying both game and Creation Kit integrity through Steam does nothing. Has this happened to anyone else? If not, is there anywhere where I can download all of these source files? EDITBethesda did indeed release a Creation Kit update today.http://www.bethblog.com/2015/03/26/skyrim-workshop-file-limit-is-now-limitless/ One part is: Loose scripts are now deployed as a single archive. After you un-rar the loose scripts to the appropriate directory, any active scripts you edit will not get overwritten the next time the Creation Kit gets updated. That RAR file is in the Data folder, not the Scripts folder. If anyone else is having this issue, you need to unpack that RAR.Well, at least this solves the problem. Wish the automatic updates would come with automatic patch notes so I wouldn't have to go searching for this. Duk3nat0r
My Data folder didn't contain the Scripts.rar file. I was able to fix this by going to steam > tools and right click on Skyrim Creation Kit, go to Properties > Local files, and choose the "Verify Integrity of Tool Cache" This told me that there was one file missing and downloaded the Scripts.rar file again. Thankyou, sir. I will raise a stein in your honouur tonight. Hmm, judging by the typo above, may already have done that...
