chet
hello i tend to play as a female char and keep having the stuff i leave out in the editor to find in game showing as the male world mod i tried to use owner ship tag but it still showed as male world modle is it possable to make it show the female ver? and to recycle this post rather then filling with my own threads i am wondering if there is a mod that makes removing blood from your weapon diffrent i was thinking maybe you should have to go for a swim to remove blood or make it have to be other wise cleaned away? David Brasher
The game engine is sort of goofy. This is how it is with most items: If you are male and buy a pair of pants, it will have two legs and be a pair of pants. If you are female and buy a pair of pants, it will turn into a skirt. If you are female and set your skirt down on your dresser, it will turn into a pair of pants until you want to wear it. If you wake up one morning and decide you want to wear pants that day, you are just out of luck. You are going to have to wear a skirt. (Morrowind was better!) For the items that even have a female ground model, you will never even see them because the game engine is goofy. If you wanted to make a mod to change this, you would put the file path for the female ground model into the <Male> <World Model> block on every single piece of clothing and armor that had a female world model available. If you did this, you would have the opposite problem, because all the ground models would always be female, even when you were playing a male. People would look in your room and wonder why you had all that female clothing laying around. You can't win. I guess if there was such a mod, you could toggle it on and off depending on the gender of the character you were playing.

David Brasher
I did some testing, and most of what I said was nonsense. The game does not function the way I thought it did. I guess the more correct answer would be that the CS always uses the male ground model, but when appropriate in-game, the item will render with the female ground model. So in the CS, go ahead and place the male ground model, but if the item belongs to a female, it will render as a female ground model, if available, in-game.
