tommus Posted December 2, 2010 Share Posted December 2, 2010 I'm not sure if it's been mentioned yet, I imagine it has but I haven't seen it through 15 pages of looking. Seems like the kind of thing that should be really easy to make, the idea is just a character that sells npcs that act as companions in the form of bodyguards or even slaves. For example you could buy a stealth companion with melee, guns, and sneak, carrying some decent light armor, a silenced pistol and a poisoned machete or something. Another one could use power armor and energy weapons or something. I realize very similar mods have already been made such as the RR companions mod, but as good as the mod is, it kind of bothers me from a role playing perspective that you can just walk up to some random guy and say "join me" and he'll just be like "ok sure". Again I realize that its purpose is just to be a blank canvas for people who want custom companions, and I've tried editing it myself to change the dialogue so that they ask for caps and treat you more like a client, which I have failed at sadly. This could be a source of unlimited non essential companions that are easy to edit, and have no need for back stories or any real flavor apart from their combat style as they're just bodyguards or slaves.
