Undivide
PUBLIC REQUEST FOR HELP. After much thought, I’ve decided that I will convert Stages into a full arena mod, however, the mod needs opponents for the Dragonborn to battle, so here I am -- asking for people to submit their characters as actors. I could make them all myself, but they wouldn't feel special or have the specific type of uniqueness I’m looking for. Not everyone knows how to make simple actors, so I may be willing to help some people with that, as long as they’re not made with ECE, which is a pain in the ass to work with. Racemenu-exported actors preferred. HERE ARE SOME GOOD TUTORIALS ON MAKING CUSTOM NPCS: http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Using_a_face_made_with_Chargen_Extension_on_an_NPC_for_Skyrim For ECE Users:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6N_4kCX3_Q GUIDELINES First and foremost, if you want your actor even have a shot at making it, the actor cannot contain content that cannot be shared legally, or content that the original author(s) of the hair/armor/weapons/etc you’ve slapped onto your character(s) have not provided permissions for. This is to protect you, me, your grandchildren, and your neighbor’s pet dog. I need males, females, beasts, trans characters, robots, anything you can think of. When I have enough of one, I’ll specifically request others. Now, each stage has a very specific feel, and therefore require actors that compliment that feel. e.g.Soul-lit plane is in Oblivion, so a dark, menacing character would do it justice. Keep in mind that some stages are so large that they will be split into sections for different opponents, so just because a spot is taken doesn't mean that more characters can't be made for it. Completed/WIP Stages and descriptions:Soul-lit plane: A realm in oblivion with a lush circle of deathbells and worms in the center. Deserted Digsite: A digsite in Hammerfell that once belonged to a king.Venom Jungle: A large, harsh jungle. Fit for the feral and druid. WIP:Sailor's End: A bay in Morrowind with a lighthouse that lured sailors to their deaths. Lonewolf Forest: A small, icy forest with a central area and Akaviri ruins.Pristine Courtyard: A small chain of islands with an ancient Falmer temple.Dwarven Clocktower: (For lack of a better name) Current requests, but open to many more characters: A female Asian (Akaviri?) fighter in her 20s. Naturally-looking, so no anime/moe please.Primary weapon: the Dagger of Xian.Stage: Lonewolf Forest, temple section A male Redguard in his 30s.Primary weapon: ScytheStage: Deserted Digsite, statue excavation section Other important information:Where you upload your files is up to you. I enjoy Mega and Mediafire.FilePaths: For all mesh and texture paths, please use the following format: Meshes/Undivide/STAGES/YourCharacter'sname/FilesTextures/Undivide/STAGES/YourCharacter'sname/Files You don't HAVE to use the above file path format, it just makes my job easier. Cheers, good luck, and thanks in advance to those who actually submit. Edited March 29, 2015 by Undivide
alanovichromanov
The stages look really nice, and arena mods are fun. I'm not making any promises, as I have limited time to mod and a few works in progress myself, but I may try and contribute to your cause. I have a few questions: How lore-friendly do the new fighters need to be?How complex do they have to be? Simple characters are easy, but I can't really add dialogue or new voice acting. Are custom spells, enchantments, weapons and armor acceptable, and if yes, again, how lore-friendly should they be?What about creature type opponents? Animals, monsters, that sort of thing? For example, would the two characters from my Firehawk Armor and Jotun Armor mods be acceptable? They have custom equipment with new enchantments (no custom content taken from other authors), and a few perks to make them a bit more challenging than the average opponent. I'm guessing they are lore-friendly enough (the equipment is retextured vanilla stuff), whereas a character in my Hammerite Armor would not.
