Wynne vs Morrigan

LOL Yeah, I gotta agree with you buddy, its a great game, and most of us have no regrets about buying it. The storyline is great. The characters you can really become attached to. The writing is ok, and its kinda buggy here and there, but despite those drawbacks most of us are really big fans of this game.

I WILL advise too, that buying the game, I'd recommend buying the disk, rather than buying it off steam. Once you've played the game, and start to throw some mods into it to more personalize or improve the game, the STEAM version can throw some issues your way, as far as modding.

Here I was thinking this was dead and buried.... Ok My intent is to buy the game from a store as I do not trust online transactions. I'm going to dive a bit off course but not too far off.

As far as mods go I understand what people are saying about go without on my 1st run. The only mods I might ever get for this game would be as mentioned elsewhere longer hairstyles for females, true black hair, and I thought I saw one that allows you to "sheath" your weapons at your hip. Other than that I really do not see much that needs modding in DA:O unlike FO:3 which would have bored me to tears if I had not changed it up a bit. I'm reading up on what it takes to set/install mods into Dragon Age and it does confuse me quite a bit (one too many hits in the head.) I will most likely leave it as it is. If I have any questions I'll just try to make sense of any tutorials I can find.

Some things get me laughing such as daggers looking like short swords in size in DA:O. I'll tell you what though I'll take the "big dagger" over the senseless designs I've seen in GW (the only MMO I ever played but no longer play.)

Peace to all.

LOL I was gonna recommend the whiter teeth mod too, but viper beat me to it ;)

I personally prefer gamestop for my gaming purchases, mostly because the guys there will let me take games back in if the disks get jacked up. Tho yeah... with online purchases you're always at risk of ID theft.

There's several mods that change the size of most of the generic vanilla weapons, to various degrees. But if you want to change them around to your own personal fit, here's an article that I wrote on how to change them to your own liking. Its pretty easy, but you're gonna have to wait til you get the game. http://www.dragonagenexus.com/articles/article.php?id=41

Ahhhhhh GW. sometimes I really miss that game. I've heard they've made changes to it since I quit playing, but yeah, I still miss that game.

Wynne's "preachiness" is much easier to take if you put a tasty morph on her. It is far less annoying if she is hot. Morrigan is merciless by nature and there are some savory morphs for her as well. They both have their usefullness depending on your game play. You will just have to experiment and find out which fits your game play style the best. No one can tell you which to use unless they (and you) fully understand how you like to play the game. I have characters that have them both in the party...for different reasons of course. I have other saves where I don't use either. I have yet other saves where my PC only has one or the other. It depends on what my PC origin and class is, my PC's "disposition" and the choices I make in game. DA is great for options. I recommend playing through more than once and experimenting. Different choices and companions lead to different content being seen.

In some ways I do not mind if the spell caster is geared more toward healing and protection as I'm typically pretty good at setting up my front line and using what tactics I have at my disposal. Then again there is the age old very true saying of "The first victim in any fight or battle is the plan." I will use them at the appropriate times as needed.

Thanks DW on the Steam warning as a friend of mine was suggesting it. Granted I still do not trust online transactions (I'm good at physical security but when it comes to technological security I'm the proverbial turtle on its back.)

Thanks all for the tutorials, articles and mod suggestions. I did not get the game over the weekend due to some serious martial arts training over the weekend (10 hours total training on Saturday and Sunday.) I will however get it sometime this week as my work schedule allows.

Hope you are all having a good day.

They both have a very strict sense of morals, or amorals as in Morrigan's case. Both can't be pleased unless you do things as they want, and both have tactical advantages on the battlefield. It's really up to your personal taste which one you pick.
