DrSNAFU
I've looked all around, and I cant seem to find the mods I'm looking for. I was hoping some people here might have seen something like them here or elsewhere. Oblivion is a great game, but there are a few tiny annoyances that I hope I can find some mods to fix. #1. Oblivion gates. I dont have any problem with the random oblivion gates, they're a great source of sigls, but I hate how if you go anywhere close to them when wandering, your sky starts turning into oblivion sky. I dont know why, but I hate the oblivion skies with a passion. Are there any mods out there that are designed to stop the sky from changing into a red oblivion sky when you aproach an oblivion gate? #2. NPC greetings. It seems like I cant get within ten feet of an NPC without them stopping what their doing, turning and greeting me. The guards always stop and say hi, as do the people. I just wish sometimes I'd be ignored. Is there a mod that allows you to change the likleyhood of NPCs stopping and saying hi to you? Or maybe so that they wont greet you unless you look directly at their face? Anything like that would be nice. #3. Well, this is more a fun idea than an annoyance. I always liked getting jumped by mythic dawn agents in towns, and watch everyone get into a big fight. What can I say, I crave wanton carnage! I wish there was a mod that could add random encounters with mythic dawn spies in towns, or have agents come hunt me down and try to kill me whereever I am. The way the game stands right now, the mythic dawn doesn't really go out of its way to hunt you down and kill you. If I were the leader of a death cult, I'd be sending everything I had against this interloper that's trying to shut down my nice little religion! So how about a mod to turn up the pressure on you from the 'dawn? Lets get some Mythic Dawn Assaassins! Well those are my ideas, if they exist already, please direct me to them. If they done, well here's one fan that would download your mod in a second. Thank you all for reading.
SerpentofShadow
Well I look through the mod database regularly... #1: I don't think there is a mod for this. Might not be that hard to do. #2: That's a built in part of the game. The only way to stop this is to have it so they have no conversation topics at all. I don't think that's what you want either as their eyes and face will still follow you. I don't think you will be finding/making a mod that does this. #3: There is a mod that creates random bandits in town. I know that is not the Mythic Dawn, but your suggestion would most likely work similar. Personally I thought it was cool for an hour then got really tired of it. This also doesn't sound like that hard of a mod to make however. Good luck to you in modding these. You will need even more luck if you plan to try and get someone to make these for you, but good luck none the less. ; )
Abramul
Actually, for #2, an Invisibility spell should work, as long as they don't hear you. It should be noted that, when casting spells, Invisibility only expires once the spell has finished casting...which means you can cast Invis again without breaking cover. DrSNAFU
Well i've noticed that if i'm facing away from a walking guard, he will walk right past behind me, but if i'm facing him, he'll stop and say hi. If I look at him, the guard stops and says hi, he will stand there forever. But if i turn around and look away from him, he'll keep moving. There must be SOMETHING that governs whether the person will stop and say hi to you, possable due to the direction you're facing. I wonder if there's a way to narrow that field so they stop and say hi less. Hmm.
