ENB+HD textures

Kind of like the title suggests, ENB preset (without a weeks worth of tweaking) and a texture pack and/or high quality textures that go along with it. I've been modding Skyrim a good long while and was very content with TrueVision ENB and loved how it made the game look, but now that I'm getting back into Skyrim again for the 9th time, I'd like to try something new that I haven't gotten into before. I'm just looking for suggestions or advice on the matter and would love every bit of it. I've helped a lot of people with modding and ENB's in the past, and most have found textures aside from the ENB alone to go with the ENB and push the game further than I have. So if anyone has found a combination of textures to go along with an ENB, if you would please state them here and share with me?

To note: I really wasn't happy with Skyrim HD 2k at all. It make my game run horribly and it caused missing and broken textures all over the place. I never got it to work correctly no matter what I did. I know there are other textures and I'm open to trying. I'm also starting out with a fresh install so I won't have anything else to create obstacles.

Here's a reference to my specs:

Intel i7 3.9GHz

12gb ram

Nvidia GeForce 970 4gb

Windows 7 64-bit

If anyone has anything to share for this topic, it's gladly appreciated; good or bad. It's always good to learn. I'm hoping for something with hardly any FPS drop, shutter, and absolutely no missing, broken, or purple textures if at all possible

Check links in this topic if you need some tips regarding character textures/replacers:

The best and quickest to set replacement for Skyrim HD would be:

SMIM

+NobleSkyrim HD (with smim patch)

+Tamriel Reloaded HD

+Vivid Landscapes

+aMidianBorn Book of Silence

+EotW mods

+Gamwich mods

I didn't like SHD and it didn't had the best performance, but it never broke my game badly. Maybe you had some mesh replacers without compatible textures?

I always use SMIM period. It fixes a lot of original game bugs and makes things more "solid" in the game. I didn't really get anything that replaced too many meshes. I love the Ebony Weapon Replacer because I've always thought the original ebony weapons just lacked any real imagination when they were created. They just looked dull. Other than that and SMIM, I didn't replace meshes. Because of the texture issues with SHD, my game crashed constantly. Switching to just an ENB by itself without ENBoost greatly reduced performance issues, strangely enough. But I'll check out all of your suggestions, test them, and see if it's what I'd like to use. I think I tried using Tamriel Reloaded HD in the past along with using TrueVision and the game didn't run right. It crashed and parts of the landscape turned purple even after tweaking the enblocal to what the author stated

Also, is there any recommendation of the order to install those in? Or just install in the order you suggested them in?

Plus, I'm also looking for a good visual overhaul. The ENB worked wonders before, but I know that I can get it to look amazing. Not like these pictures you find on the internet where everything looks like real life, that's just begging for bad fps and crashes at this moment

That might have been your problem. Enb series 0.119+ have enboost already integrated. Don't run both.

This will never happen with your pc specs, unless you have set something horribly wrong.

You can go ahead and install it in this order. If you don't care for parallax, skip Tamriel Reloaded so it won't overwrite some of NobleSkyrim textures and then get aMidianBorn landscape. Personally I preffer new terrainparallax for enbseries 0.265 / 0.266.

I'm not sure to what you are reffering to. Enb replacement? New enb preset? Landscape Overhauls? Textures?

You most likely will find something that you like in one of the old post/threads.

Enb replacements like ICBINE 3 or GemFX are lighter than normal enb preset, but won't offer all advanced effects.

Ok. Some great suggestions. I'll check out as much as I can. What I meant with wanting a good visual overhaul is, I was just running TrueVision as my attempt to "graphically overhaul" the game and want to possibly push the graphics further. I know it can be done with my specs. I always try to keep up to date with the latest ENB series and haven't been trying to apply ENBoost. I did try to do that for an older version though and couldn't figure it out. But that was when I first started getting into ENB's. And I don't know why Tamriel Reloaded did that. I was quite confused by it. I followed the authors advice and checked my work several times and made a couple of tweaks that were suggested on the forums for it, but nothing worked. Maybe with your help, it can be sorted out. I'm still a tad bit fresh to the graphics and visuals part of modding. Everything else along with Creation Kit, I'm definitely not a beginner at. Especially with running 130+ mods on Skyrim. As soon as I can get to the computer I run the game on and apply these changes, I can get started on all of it and give a report about it

If you're making a mod list for new playthrough and won't create your own mods on daily basis (CK and other utilities), I suggest Mod Organizer instead of NMM. MO stores all mods in separate folders and you will be able to easily track each separate file your installed mod conatains. If any files will take priority over older ones, the mod will get marked in your mod list and detailed replacer list will be included in mod MO info. Check Gopher youtube guide on how to install MO and launch SKSE/LOOT/FNIS with it, if you have missed out before on this mod manager.

I tend to use both MO and NMM at times. Especially because NMM is easier for my dad to use when he plays Skyrim and I'm creating my own mods and testing them constantly. But I have let my knowledge with MO slip to the back burner. I do need a refresh with it. MO is my personal favorite but I do get confused with it a lot and could use a little help when it comes to heavy modding. Now with NobleSkyrim HD, would that work with Tamriel Reloaded installed?

UPDATE:

I read up on the Tamriel Reloaded HD Nexus post and saw that there is a Tamriel Reloaded ENB. So I went ahead and installed both the HD textures (I used the 4k) and the ENB. They are working beautifully. There's a small bit of screen shutter though when out in the exterior worldspace, but I believe that can be helped a little bit by tweaking the ReservedMemorySizeMb in the enblocal. So far no purple textures and it's very smooth. The best graphical changes I've made to Skyrim in the last couple years. Here's a reference to what I do have installed on Skyrim currently:

Things that aren't quest/adobe/story mods:

Tamriel Reloaded - HD 4k and ENB

SMIM

Skyrim Project Optimization

Unofficial Patches (for all DLC's except of the Hi Res)

SMPC (the main file, the Windows fix, and for all the DLC's)

RLO

A Quality World Map

SkyUI

The Ruffled Feather Mod Collection

SKSE

SSME

Things that are added content:

Dovahkiin's Hideout (the continued version)

Falskaar (I figured I'd have it installed because of the Ruffled Feather Mod Collection)

Ebony Weapon Replacer

That's about it for now. Is there anything else to recommend? I'd like to have all my favorite armor, weapons, story/quest mods as well. But I would also rather focus on things that will keep my game more stable so that I can have those mods. I am running MO and have NMM and CK running on a separate computer so that I can still make and test the mods that I create. I have a lot of utilities that I like to use too (I don't entirely feel like writing out all of them right now). But if there are any other recommendations, I'm open to it
