What Is gmod?

It is a multiplayer sandbox physics game in the Source engine (Which Half Life 2 ran on). It can be bought on Steam here. It requires that you own one of the source games, but it is not a real 'mod' to those games themselves.

You can mess around with all sorts of propswith the physics and create strange constructions. You can put all sorts of objects together, give them different weights, colours, make it fly with thrusters and hooverballs, and all sorts of stuff. Youtube is full of crazy videos.

Wait, since when did you have to pay for Garry's Mod? I don't remember doing that when I got it some years ago. I remember it was a stand-alone Half-Life 2 mod made by people outside of Valve's employ and them having their own website, which if I recall correctly was where I downloaded it - but I don't remember ever paying for it. When did this happen?

Looking on their website now, it says the release of Garry's Mod was 29th of November, 2006. And by looking at the site, yes, I do think this is where I downloaded it from. But I don't remember having to pay for it. It hasn't always been like that, has it? Because I remember quite clearly I didn't waste a penny. One click was all it took, or well two clicks, one for the download and two for the install process. Maybe I downloaded like a beta version or something. Like way back in 2005 before its official release. That could be it. Argh, this is driving me nuts. Memory should begin atrophy when you're at least 60, not a quarter century.

I really enjoy the multiplayer aspect of Garry's Mod.

Gamemodes I like:

Trouble in Terriost Town (I'm an admin on Chiefeh Server)

Zombies

Sandbox (only with friends though, which is rare)

Fretta
