Western/Cowboy Mod

Is it possible to have a mod where NPCs would only use the weapons listed under the Cowboy perk(and some western revolvers/rifles from other modders) and wear the western looking outfits in the game?

Its possible I'm sure, but I can;t do it for you, however for your enjoyment I know a mod or two you'll like if you haven't seen them already.

Play as John "The Duke" Wayne Save

Mojave Tin Pip-Boy

 

Those are only the ones off the top of my head, I'm sure theres more out there.

well, of course it is POSSIBLE to do such a thing, though i doubt anyone will actually do this

as far as i know, the guns used in this perk aren't all too good, and it would probably only work well for lower levels

 

however, if someone will take this as a project, maybe some modelers will be able to create armors that fit the whole Wild West theme, and make something like this

 

if you want to do this, you can basically do this yourself, by modifying the spawn lists

can't really explain what to do, as i am not sure of this myself........

I was just going to use a dmg modifier so I'm not wasting 6 shots on someone's head to kill them(probably exaggerating). And as far as doing it myself, I would need to know how to replace a certain item an NPC uses with a different one( like if I wanted to replace all people using NCR armor with dusters).

 

 

 

EDIT: I would also like to know if it's possible to have a revolver that you could "fan?" It would be classified as an automatic weapon with a lower rate of fire than most AGs, but it would look like a revolver and fire magnum rounds.

well, if you are thinking of a full project to Wild Wesitfy the whole wasteland, and change all the NPCs to use armors and weapons to fit the theme, then you have quite some work ahead

this will be an interesting mod, i can tell you that for sure

 

as for NPCs having specific items, i don't know if this will help you understand how it is done, but this should explain at least what each option does

i think that you mean Realistic Headshots (unless there is another mod, of which i don't know)

You could very well create a mod that does this. It's as simple as replaces ALL weapons listings in the game with western clothing/armor, in the armor listings, and western weapons (some that can be found on Fo3 or FONV nexus, and in the 20th century mods) and replacing the non-western weapons with them.
