Lightly modded Oblivion - CTD at startup

I just installed a few mods to make the game more interesting. However, Oblivion instantly CTDs. I don't know why, I used BOSS and installed all the OBSE Plugins for Deadly Reflex. I don't know if this is a bashed patch problem, compatibility error, or something else completely.

Disable mods one by one until the game starts to find the culprit. With a short list such as yours you'll have it figured out in no time.

 

As an extra note; disable DRSplatter until the next update of Deadly Reflex 6. DRSplatter will cause crash on save which of course leads to corrupted saves. However this is not what's causing your current issue. I also strongly suggest you read the Official Deadly Reflex Release and Bug Report Thread if you're going to use DR 6. Remember, it's a Beta. If you're not into testing and reporting bugs and dealing with crashes you're better off using Deadly Reflex 5 + Hotfix. It's pretty much 100% stable.

Alright, I deleted Deadly Reflex 6b and replaced it with Deadly Reflex 5 (with the hotfix) but once again, I get an instant CTD. I also installed Ryu Doppler's fixed Natural Weather, but that didn't help either. The last thing I tried was deleting the My Games/Oblivion folder, but like the other things I tried, that also lead to no results. I really don't know what's wrong - If anyone knows about possible compatibility issues, please let me know. I've really been dying to play Oblivion again.

Installing more mods on top of what you have is not going to help. I recommended removing Deadly reflex altogether for troubleshooting as it changes so many things about the game. After getting everything else running, then put it back.

This allows you to test with no mods installed - just unchecking the esps doesn't really remove the mods.

Disable your Bashed Patch. Does the game start? If so you are importing something you shouldn't. If not, continue to disable mods one by.... Wait a minute...., I've already mentioned this a week ago. Cmon man with that short LO you could figure this out in 10-15 minutes, tops. You have what, 12 mods? C'mon now... No reason this should have lasted a week.
