chrisdragon425
I got Oblivion in July and am just loving it and am pondering on getting Morrowind also. Is the game worth buying? :) And if I do get it, what mods do you suggest? (15 or so)
Abramul
Definitely worth buying. Make sure you get TB and BM, though. As for what mods:Tamriel Rebuilt just released Map 1 today, although it's still in testing and hasn't had quests added yet. There's a mod called, I think, MGE, that increases the distance terrain can be seen at. Future versions will have LOD buildings and such, as well, if memory serves.DO NOT GET GIANTS! IT IS A BUGFEST.Wizard's Isle may be worth a look, although there are (at least, the last time I tried it) some problems, such as hijacked music. There's one called Complete Morrowind or some such, which is worth a look. It offers a variety of psuedo-skills, which tend toward 'common laborer' rather than 'uber-hero adventurer': cooking, smithing, and such.Better Bodies is ok, but has some problems with original/intended-for-normal-bodies clothing and equipment. I would give you links/definite names, but TESSource is being wierd (not communicating at all)
chrisdragon425
Is there a savegame manager the way like the one Sriram Kashyap made for Oblivion?
Marxist ßastard
Why would you need one?
VaanicOne
Why would you need one? Indeed, Morrowind did its savegames properly. Weapon mods like "Assassins Armoury" are definitely worth it.
karkarinus
Absolutely, definitely, without a doubt. Though the graphics may seem a bit outdated by today's standards, MW is by far the greatest, most enthralling, most enormous game I have ever played. It's not quite as "instantly accessible" as OB, but once you get into it, it is well worth it. Get the GOTY edition, which includes the Tribunal and Bloodmoon expansions. You won't regret it. As for mods, I'm not really into them, but there's a big Vivec expansion that is really good.
chrisdragon425
I got the GOTY version yesterday and I am a bit baffled at the way the game goes. The inventory system is a bit confusing also. Sucks that the beast races cannot wear footgear (feet don't look as they do in Oblivion, nonstandard)
Malchik
Do not expect Oblivion. Start the game and you will enjoy. There are mods that give beast footwear but it spoils at least one of the jokes. "All I ask for is a pair of boots!"
