G.E.C.K random black screen.

So i was using the G.E.C.K for hours yesterday with no issue. Today, i start it up to continue work on my mod, everything is working perfectly when all of a sudden my whole screen turns black and i have to alt tab to the desktop (which doesn't show the desktop, but a black screen with the taskbar at the bottom) and i have to shut down G.E.C.K from there to make the black screen disappear.

So far i've tried uninstalling the G.E.C.K and the 1.5 update. Still shows the black screen after a random amount of time.

Has anyone come across this issue before? I tried googling it but found nothing (will contirnue trying).

grab some coffee and a friend, get the program to exhibit the fault again .when it takes place walk away and see what's going on, from the description, it sounds like the autosave feature is firing up in the middle of programing...you need to keep aware of the time. under settings before and after loading the plugins for use, set your settings up to a greater time delay...manually save. but at least wait while the black screen finished up background data storage.

the issue is a windows flaw..meaning windows updates things and reverses settings for permissions, child / parent controls and such...when this happens, you see post advising to set these things in order to "undo" MS screwed up / updates.

your not at fault. when things get really bad, windows will prevent even the best coders from even using their own programs...yeah it get's that bad, when that happens, reformat time.

like clock work..and around the coroner comes a new ,wonder what gonna break next?

little golden locks? why that color...and so on. You own your PC ,but they own you. nice huh?

I guess i will have to reformat soon. It's gonna be a huge pain but it has to be done. Can't even mod in peace.

wait until MS rel;eases a stable win10, back up your goods off disc for a later use. use that new system as an opportunity to do all things at once.

let's just see where things go.
