nachtengel
No CTD, it just -freezes- the computer. Only a reboot seems to help. Game plays fine otherwise. I'm running FOMM and Darn's UI, AFIK the latest builds of all three. Tried "fallout safe exit" to no avail. I delete FOSE and the game exits normally. Running FO3 GOTY (Retail) with all the DLC. ALL OTHER MODS DISABLED. Machine is Toshiba Qosimo, i7 processor running at 160 Ghz, 6 GB ram, NVidia GeForce GTS 360M video card all on Windows 7 64bit. I'd love to be able to run FOSE without this problem because of the added goodies in Darn's UI. Any suggestions? Yes, clean install with no other mods still seems to cause the problem. 10QEngel Edited December 6, 2010 by nachtengel
ccmechanic2
Use the fomm fake xlive dll, but befor doing so, uninstall gwfl first, make sure the game won't run unless it ask's for that file. Put it in then, and that may solve the problem How ever, nvidia driver may be at issue. Seems fose does have it's particular likeing's. Try and use an earlier version. Hope that helps. I have been haveing that very sam problem, but I stay in the game long enough for whatever is going on to clear up and it does. Most likly there is some kind of data issue taking place. Tried it with Gfwl disabled (Used the disabler found on the Nexus) same problem. I'll try with the fake dll/uninstalling and all that rot. I hated GfWL from the start. Thanks Latest News: Apologies to the folks at FOSE. I ran another clean install. This time to C;\Games\Bethesda\Fallout3. tested quit, fine, no problems. Installed FOMM, Exits with no problem. Deleted GfWL, wont start, need xlive.dll. Installed Fake dll from FOMM. Game now freezes on Exit. Started new topic to more accuratly describe the problem. If a Moderator wishes to delete this one I shan't mind one bit.:) Edited December 8, 2010 by nachtengel
