TheFalloutZard
I wasn't sure if this was Fallout 3 troubleshooting or Mod troubleshooting, since I run a lot of mods. But whenever I try to start a new game, the game freezes and I cannot play my game :( I already have a merged patch and masterupdate with fo3edit before I start my game. I have tried to 'insert an image' so you can see what kind of error I'm having, but I'm not sure if I can get it to work :s Here's my load order btw: Fallout3.esmAnchorage.esmThePitt.esmBrokenSteel.esmPointLookout.esmZeta.esmUnofficial Fallout 3 Patch.esmCRAFT.esmCALIBR.esmFO3 Wanderers Edition - Main File.esmMart's Mutant Mod.esmStreetLights.esmEnhanced Weather - Rain and Snow.esmXepha's Dynamic Weather.esmUnofficial Fallout 3 Patch - Operation Anchorage.espUnofficial Fallout 3 Patch - The Pitt.espUnofficial Fallout 3 Patch - Broken Steel.espUnofficial Fallout 3 Patch - Point Lookout.espUnofficial Fallout 3 Patch - Mothership Zeta.espDarNifiedUIF3.espBetterGamePerformance.espBoSPatrols.espThe Console Hat.espMTC Wasteland Travellers.espMTC Wasteland Travellers (Optional)- Crowded Cities.espMTC Wasteland Travellers (Optional)- Crowded Cities Less NPC's.esp ***FO3 Wanderers Edition - Main File.espFO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Anchorage.espFO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC The Pitt.espFO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Broken Steel.espFO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Point Lookout.espFO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Mothership Zeta.espFO3 Wanderers Edition - Alternate Travel.espFO3 Wanderers Edition - Followers Enhanced (BrokenSteel).espdD - Enhanced Blood Main.espFO3 Wanderers Edition - More Gore.espFO3 Wanderers Edition - More Gore The Pitt.espdD-More Gore-BrokenSteel.espFO3 Wanderers Edition - More Gore PointLookout.espFO3 Wanderers Edition - More Gore Zeta.espWeaponModKits.espWMKAA12Shotgun.espWeaponModKits - FWE Master Release.espWeaponModKits - OperationAnchorage.espWeaponModKits - ThePitt.espWeaponModKits - BrokenSteel.espWeaponModKits - PointLookout.espWeaponModKits - Zeta.espMart's Mutant Mod.espMart's Mutant Mod - DLC Anchorage.espMart's Mutant Mod - DLC The Pitt.espMart's Mutant Mod - DLC Broken Steel.espMart's Mutant Mod - DLC Point Lookout.espMart's Mutant Mod - DLC Zeta.espMart's Mutant Mod - Zones Respawn.espMart's Mutant Mod - Tougher Traders.espMart's Mutant Mod - Natural Selection.espMart's Mutant Mod - Master Menu Module.espMart's Mutant Mod - FWE Master Release.espOwned!.espEnhanced Weather - Rain and Snow in Fallout.espEnhanced Weather - Weather Sounds in Interiors.espEnhanced Weather - REBOOT.espRealistic Interior Lighting.espRealistic Interior Lighting - BS.espRealistic Interior Lighting - OA.espRealistic Interior Lighting - PL.espXepha's Dynamic Weather - Main.espXepha's Dynamic Weather - Anchorage.espXepha's Dynamic Weather - The Pitt.espXepha's Dynamic Weather - Broken Steel.espXepha's Dynamic Weather - Point Lookout.espXepha's Dynamic Weather - Experimental Green Tint Remover.espXepha's Dynamic Weather - Rain.espXepha's Dynamic Weather - Sandstorm.espXepha's Dynamic Weather - NightTime SneakBoost.espMerged Patch.esp Total active plugins: 76Total plugins: 77 *** = in load order, but not active I have already tried to run it without mods, so only fallout3.esm loaded (even turned the DLC off) but same effect. I hope someone can help me, finally thought I had all mods I wanted installed, and now I get this bug, so I still can't finish my modded Fallout 3 playthrough :( http://www.wegame.com/view/fallout-3-screenshot-by-thefalloutzard-2010-12-06-061532.jpg Edited December 6, 2010 by TheFalloutZard
AdmiralCrunch
My game freezes at a certain point in the game. I figured out that it's a texture problem. Using low quality textures solves it.

Using low quality textures solves it. Nope, I already tried the lowest textures, which gives the same freeze. And I have a pretty good pc, so I can usually run it at high settings without trouble. AdmiralCrunch
Part of Directx, but just saw Vista and Win7 don't allow to deactivate. So that's not an option anymore. Maybe an older graph driver would help? It's worth a try. Or trying to run the game in compatibility mode (Vista or XP).Or maybe try to run the game with lowest options. Maybe an older graph driver would help? It's worth a try. Or trying to run the game in compatibility mode (Vista or XP).Or maybe try to run the game with lowest options. I have vista. But the problem is, I have been able to play it for more than a year (been playing/modding it since it came out) and this is the first time I have this freeze bug. I have it since I downloaded some more mods yesterday. I'm sure the mods are fine and working, since running without mods gives the same problem and the game I still have does work with all these mods installed (every 1 of 'em is working, tested that already). So is there a way to check for errors in an advanced way or so (maybe with fo3 edit, although I already used the 'check for errors' button there)? AdmiralCrunch
Then I would try to not just deactivate the mods u installed yesterday but erase them. Only idea I have left.

I have lots of time tomorrow afternoon, so guess I'll just delete fallout 3 and reinstall it with every mod I want, hope it works then. I have a load order list now so at least I know which ones I want. Just hope it won't all be for nothing, like still having same problem tomorrow evening :P
