The best gaming hard disk drive?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

the Caviar Green is 5400rpm in idle and 7200 in load ;). Thats why it is very silent and saves energy. With Windows XP you can have trouble, here are some PDF sheets for it: http://skinflint.co.uk/a475098.html

a list with all 1TB HDD (UK) sorted by price

Thanks you for the information, but i'll stick to the Samsung HDD i discovered. It's only 433 Danish Kroner at a dealer i found in Denmark. 433 DKK = 77,16 USD. Very cheap i think. :)

The Caviar Black Drive by Western Digital was developed with gamers in mind. It may be a bit more expensive, but comes with Dual Processors on it's circuit board, theoretically speeding up processing times. It also has more reliable parts and a much longer lifespan than most drives. Plus, as a bonus it happens to be a very highly rated Hard Drive, especially for Gaming. Other than that, the Samsung still looks okay...
