WastelandAssassin
wow, there are so many amazing mods out there out of the top of my head, i can give you a few my first recommendation will always be The Lost Spires, which i think is the finest quest mod for Oblivion (or at least, the best one that i know of) Midas Magic is also an amazing mod, with some breath takingly awesome spells (they have unique visual effects that are just amazing) as far as i know Malevolence is an amazing mod (never really got to play it in full, as it is rather long, and starts only after you finish the main quest)still, from the little that i have seen, it was just great, and the people who made it really did an awesome job these are the few really awesome mods i could think ofthere are plenty of mods out there that you might enjoybut if you could define what you are looking for, or what you like, that could help us point you to the best ones :)
Deleted1662706User
Well I love Adventure mods, my save in Windfall just got corrupted and everything deleted due to a computer error, so I would not like that one please :( I love new worlds, more places to explore, companions that will follow and ACTUALLY help for a change. I want them to sit down with me when I sit down, and not stand there like idiots. I'm going to make a fresh save with no godmode or anything, so nothing overpowered please. Thanks, LordEsther. WastelandAssassin
well, that is not much help, but that will have to do  what i mean by that, is that you have just defined what you are looking for to companion and quest modsso i won't be able to recommend other types of mods (such as weapons, armors, clothing items and such) to youbut that's ok, i'll try my best i just want to note, before i put the links, that i can't promise that you will enjoy all of thesesome i have personally tried and enjoyed, others got my interest, but i never got to use well, here goes  :one of the most amazing new land mods out there, is Elsweyr the Deserts of Anequinait adds a huge area of land, where Elsweyr is on the mapand though i didn't get to try out all the quests, and the last updates, i think you will enjoy it if you are looking for lots of action, then the next mods isn't for youbut if you are looking for an amazing quest mod, that is all about the story, than you are sure to enjoy Et in Arkay Egolike i said, it is strictly a story quest (meaning that there is not much action) but the story is just amazing, and it is just fun to play it, and just sink into the brilliant story behind the quest this quest mod i have played once, and it was a lot of fun, but it isn't for the weak characters (there was one massive battle the is really hard, so you need to play smart)but if you would like a nice challenge, and to enjoy a nice and unique quest, then Children Of Rourken Episode1 Secret of Enourk is probably for you :) the next quest mod comes in two episodes, and i'm afraid i never got to try thembut they look amazing, and seem to be quite loved by the members here, so i thought you might want to try them outi am referring to the Gates to AESGAARD mods: episode one and episode two another quest mod that looks good, and yet i never got to try is Hoarfrost Castlecan't say much about it, except that it looks good to me, and i thought you might like it i'll keep on looking, and write a new post (i think that two posts are better than one long post)
Deleted1662706User
Thank you, I have played Deserts of Anequia, and also Hoarfrost castle, and am downloading the rest now. Thank you very much, kudos to you :) I have heard of something called Nehrim, what is this please?
WastelandAssassin
ok, i'll continue here :) one mod that i really like, adds a rather short quest (well, it's not a normal quest, as it doesn't have any journal entries, and it all works by following a book and notes), and some amazing armors and weapons as a reward, and it's the Lost Paladins of the Divinenow, you will need to decide what you want to getthere is the original, the patch, the second version (though i'm not really sure what it changes) and the replacement pack (which is makes the armors and weapons look even better, at least in my opinion)now, i'm not sure which one you should usei think that you should either use the original and the patch OR version 2 (and if you like, the replacement pack, though i'm not sure if it will work with V2) in the first post, i mentioned a mod called MALEVOLENT (added the link, to save you the search) if you like the Lord Of The Rings, then the next project is definitely for you  it is called MERP (which stands for Middle Earth Roleplaying)it adds a new world space, and though i don't think it adds any quests, it's still breathtaking and outstanding job that the MERP team did another nice quest mod, one that i regret i never got to finish playing through, is Kvatch Rebuiltdon't you just hate seeing Kvatch always in ruins?? well, not you don't have to  so go and lend a hand in rebuilding the fine city, and have some fun while doing so  also in the first post, i have mentioned Midas Magici will dare say it is one of the best mods that i have seen, and if your character likes to use magic, or if you just want to see some beautiful things, it is definitely a mod for youand with several world spaces, each totally unique, and with several quests that will make you use your brains for once (unlike just hack n' slash quests, here you actually need to think for yourself ) and give you several hours of fun, with many great rewards, and enough spells to make your head blow up from too much information  if you like treasure hunting, and think that if they are brain teasers, all the better, than you are sure to like Myths and Legends Weapons 2 (you would probably also want to get the update)this mod adds several books, that are your only leads to some of the most amazing weapons out there, each has it's own great storyif you find it too complicated, or you just can't follow the clues, this blog has the locations of all the weapons (though you should only use this as a last resort, and at least try to find the weapons, and though some are REALLY hard to find, others have really good instructions on where and what to look for) if you like the dark ages (could be more medieval, i'm not sure), and don't mind a scary mod, then you are sure to like The Dungeons of Ivellonthis is one of the finest quest mods out there, with a brilliant quest, that leaves you all alone, to cope with whatever comes your way (another brain grinder, as even with the journal entries, it is still up to you to realize what to do)do note that the place is totally dark in most places, and it has lightable torches (you need to activate them while using a torch, or with a fire spell)so you should either bring lots of torches with you, or get a nice light spell, though if it has a large radius, it will really ruin the whole atmosphere (like i said, it is meant to be a scary mod, so it's best played with either torches, or really short radius light spells)i can promise you, even after playing it several times, it still caught me in many places, and it surprises me how good it is, with every run of the quest as for concluding my first post, here is the link to what i would claim as the finest quest mod made for Oblivion, The Lost Spiresif you are going to try any of the quest mods that i have suggested, this is the one you MUST TRYbelieve me, you cannot be disappointed by the brilliant story, the great many unique dungeons, and the whole experience (i mean it, it's a must have mod) this next mod is Ungarions Memoirs 1 The Welkynd Swordit adds a nice quest, not very long, but quite interesting, and a nice reward to go along with itand like most good quest mods that use vanille locations (meaning that they use locations in the original game) it requires you to figure out yourself where to go, by following clues and information (and if you have played the game thoroughly, you should have no problem here) i have many more to go, but i think i'll just give you one moreand as a special one, this isn't just a quest mod, it's also a companiondon't know if you are familiar with Viconia, but Viconia DeVir - The Underdark Saga is probably one of the finest companion quest mods out thereunfortunately, i never did like playing with companions, so i never got far in her quest, but if you like using companions, you should really enjoy this mod two notes before i conclude thisthe first is that there are many more mods out there, that you might likei just tried to give you some that i think you'll likeif you want, there are others that i know of, that you might also enjoy the second note is about the order of the modsall these mods were in my tracking list, and i posted them in an alphabetical order (well, i opened several of them at the same time, and posted the ones i thought you'll like in a random order)so don't think that the order has something to do with how good these mods are hope you will enjoy these mods, and find this usefuland if you want anything more, just ask (but you should be rather specific, or you will probably get other long lists like this )
WastelandAssassin
Thank you, I have played Deserts of Anequia, and also Hoarfrost castle, and am downloading the rest now. Thank you very much, kudos to you :) I have heard of something called Nehrim, what is this please? don't mention it (also check my other post, it has many more mods for you) as for Nehrim, i wanted to write about that as well, just forgotbasically, Nehrim is a new game, that is based on Oblivion, and as much, requires the gamebut unlike overhauls or such, it doesn't add anything to Oblivion, it is a completely new game (with a new launcher, new folders and such) from what i have heard and seen of it, it should be one of the greatest things done with Oblivion (if not the best project done with Oblivion)and judging by some other work of the same team (the Cube Experimental mod for Fallout 3), you can expect nothing less than total freaking awesomeness it is in german, though the subtitles and texts have an english versionbut from what people say, it really doesn't bother after a while i'm afraid i never tried it, but i actually think i'll try it, now that i remember how amazing it seemed to meand if you enjoy Oblivion, i would recommend you to try it out yourself (though you should probably first get used to playing Oblivion without godly items and such, as Nehrim isn't an easy game, from what i heard)
Deleted1662706User
Thank you! Many of these mods I have used before, such as Kvatch Rebuilt, but new ones, such as The Lost Spires and Ivellion seem really interesting to me. I'm downloading them now, again, thank you! ambalamps
Well, I just came across a mod that will likely be in your interest. I haven't played it yet myself, however I am downloading it now. It's called "The Forgotten Realm" "Somewhere deep in the forests of Blackwood, there once stood a great castle. But then something happened. The crops began to die, and soon thereafter, theanimals died too. Servants started to report strange noises and twinkling lights in the dungeons beneath the castle. Shortly afterward, the place was abandoned and fell into decay. Blackwood Forest consumed the castle. Centurieslater, not knowing about the circumstances of the castle's fall to ruin, a richlord from Leyawiin, named Aryon, decided to build himself an estate in theforest. Having an interest in ancient things, this lord thought the site of theruined castle was a perfect location to allowing him to investigate the ruins. One year later, the lord did not show up at the annual county meeting.A month later, an Imperial patrol was sent to investigate. It disappeared. Nobody knew what had happened. Years passed with no word of either the soldiersor the lord. Years became decades. Ultimately, it was all forgotten about, until now!" After speaking with a Dark Elf of the Great House Indoril outside the LeyawiinNorth East Gate, you are sent on a quest to investigate the circumstances behind a certain nobleman's disappearance. Venturing far into Blackwood Forest, you are thrown into something much bigger than you could ever imagine. Explore ancient castle ruins, make your way through natural caverns, and break into a lost Ayleidcity, sealed off from the rest of the world. The Forgotten Realm offers any Oblivion player an epic adventure which of course has an epic reward at the end. The mod will allow the player to enter a huge underground dungeon which ultimatelyleads him or her to something very rare: The Forgotten Realm! Apparently, it adds the following: * 50 detailed cells * 3 New worldspaces* Several boss-fights* A secret cult and then something worse...* A pretty extensive questline* A companion* Lots of surprises, traps, epic moments and stuff Another great mod, is the DMC Animation replacer if you haven't gotten that yet. Sick and tired of just standing there and slashing over and over again? The DMC Animation Replacer makes the fights be more epic in my opinion, especially when you do a front flip, then slashing downward. Also, another great mod has nothing to do with action, but it adds probably the best companion in all of the TESNexus. Vilja is an awesome companion as it is fuly voiced with a questline to boot and she even notices the world of Oblivion. So when you are walking, you might hear her say something like "Look, a butterfly!" She is very talkative, but if you don't like that, you can tell her to shut up. She'll even recognize different companions from other mods. (Not every companion, just some.)
