ArchMageMatt
I'm an Oblivion Modder, and I'm thinking about getting DA:O for the PC for Christmas (If my PC can run it, that is)... but I need to wonder, how easy is it to mod the game? I'm used to the rather simple TES Modding yet the mods at the nexus make it look easy. So, if you could compare it to TES Construction Set, I'd appreciate it. Or just give your opinion on how hard it was when you first made a DA:O Mod. Thanks!
ArchMageMatt
NOBODY here has modded the game before...? Any input would be greatly appreciated; I'd love to mod the heck out of DA:O if I could. ;)
RustyBlade
If you are adding mods it is fairly easy as long as you know your way around your hard drive. If you are creating mods however, the learning curve spikes massively upward. For some, just getting the toolset installed and working can be an undertaking of itself. Once installed, you have to configure it so as not to break your game (like I did my first try.) The links on this page should give you a fighting chance though: http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?showtopic=167987 Best thing to do is read as many tutorials as you can before you get started and don't be afraid to ask questions here in the forum. ArchMageMatt
Thanks, one more question: How hard would making a companion be? Not complex, just someone who follows you, like a normal one. EDIT: Found the guide. Thanks for your help!
