Custom Helm, help plz

Hi all, i just created a custom helm mesh in Blender, i've exported it out as a niff

i did the copy NiStrip -> Paste over option with another helm.

Everything looks correct, scale, orientation.

 

so in geck i edited a helm and replaced the nifs with mine, however for some reason when i go ingame the helm is there on the floor, but i have to way to pick it up, it dosent respond as an item.

 

any help is most welcome :)

 

edit: also i just noticed that in geck the bounding box is HUGE! like 5 (ingame) feet all the way around my helm, why?
