SColla Posted December 7, 2010 Share Posted December 7, 2010 Deputy Beagle didn't make it. LOL! But that isn't the issue. I talked to Nash and he told me what Beagle would have said. i then asked if Prim Slim could be sheriff and got the normal reply, never thought about it but he could if you can reprogram him. So, I reprogram Slim and he says Law enforcement protocols reinstated or whatever. But the quest never updates. So I talk to Slim again and the same options are there about programming him, so I do it 3 more times, all fail to complete the quest. So I get the bright idea to reprogram him with the fission batteries and whatever else. So I go and get the items needed and try again. Which of course, fails. SColla Posted December 7, 2010 Author Share Posted December 7, 2010 Sorry, this has turned into more then a quest issue. My game now constantly CTDs and I haven't installed any new mods. secksegai Posted December 7, 2010 Share Posted December 7, 2010 You shouldn't write off the mods so quickly - its very possible to break quests with modding, though the majority of mods would have no reason to do so. Just because it hasn't caused problems before, doesn't mean it won't later in game. You also have to consider that patches make changes as well, and mods don't always get along with new patches and require updates. It really just sounds like the quest bugged and you should have loaded a save quite some time ago - if the problem persists, make a save prepping for the deactivation of mods then deactivate them to see if the problem persists.
