theContador
So I bought 2x1gb DDR2 RAM for my PC. The motherboard supports the speed and type and I slotted it in the spare DIMM sockets along with the RAM I already have. At first I got no input signal from the monitor but then I swapped them round and it worked fine. If I go into my computer and system properties it says I have 4gb like I should now but dxdiag says 2gb, as does BIOS (I think im not too great with bios). A program called cpu-z says I have 4 gb. Is this just an issue wih dxdiag and im a n00b at bios or has the RAM not installed properly?? Would appreciate your help J x
Paxan_1
I would suggest if you have a look into your System panel from Windows (control centre or however it is called in english). If it shows 4GB or 3.3GB if you have 32Bit all is fine. DXDiag is showing it correct for me, maybe you have a old version? Mine is 6.01.7600.16385 64Bit. Feltmarskal
I think it's some sort of problem with his DxDiag, because RAM usually gets automaticly detected. Eventually you could try to unplug your RAM and plug them in again?
