rubenour
Hi. I've got a pretty severe soundproblem. Everytime the backgroundmusic changes, e.g. if I engage/disengage in combat, the game freezes up for 2-4 seconds. First, my system specs:AMD Athlon 3000+ (Socket 939)1 GB DDR400 Kingston ValueRAMMSI GeForce 6600 128MBTerratec Aureon 5.1 Fun AND OnBoard Realtek 7.1 Sound I already tried everything I could think of: I turned down the hardware acceleration of both sound cards step by step and tried to run the game. I created a new Oblivion.ini, deinstalled all Plugins and finally reinstalled Oblivion (vanilla). Of course I downloaded and installed the newest drivers for my graphics card, both sound cards and my mainboard. I also completely defragmented both my C:\ and D:\ partition with O&O Defrag. I tried to turn off the hardware acceleration in the Oblivion.ini (which did nothing at all) and activate the software acceleration (which made my Oblivion crash on start). Finally I deactivated first the Aureon 5.1 and then the Realtek 7.1, but still I got that bug. Then I deleted the "Music"-folder in the "Data"-directory completely, which of course removed the bug, but now I've got absolutely no ambient music in Oblivion, which obviously sucks! Even copying other music into the "Music"-folder didnt work. Oblivion just plays the first song when I first engage in battle and then plays that song constantly until I turn Oblivion off! Please help me! I really wanna play! greetz, nemini
Abramul
Instead of deleting the music, change bMusicEnabled=1 to 0Path: C:\Documents and Settings\$UserName\My Documents\My Games\Oblivion Do you, by any chance, have Nero installed? Yeah well. Both things lead to one thing -> I dont have ambient music in the game! :( Nope, I checked that as well ;) No files in common files ;)
