So how is this project going? Is it still alive or have you abandoned it?

 

i was thinking the same thing. its been awhile since anything new has been said :unsure:

It is alive. I have encountered some serious problems with the file. It is still going to be done, just a little later than planned. :(

 

Don't worry. I am going to be working hard on it all day tomorrow. :)

 

The Vulture should be giving an update on the TES IV: The Lost Kingdom topic soon.

this needs a [WIP] thread on the TES official forums too.

 

I'll do it if I ever get around to it. It's hard enough keeping track of everything going on on one forum, let alone two.

 

If you like, you may create the topic. In fact, that would be very nice. If you do please post a link on it to this topic.

hello all. I have been working hard recently on an unofficial oblivion expansion, which I am currently calling Oblivion Expanded. So far I have added 12 new sets of leveled armor, 6 sets of leveled weapons, and have more planned. Your character can experience different armor up to level 60. Adventurers, goblins, and other NPC's will have the new armors as your character levels. New weapons will spice up combat, and new leveled creatures, more bandits, new respawning highwayman, and fierce traps will keep the game challenging into the high levels. Guards will receive new weapons as you level. New enchantments will provide more ways to aid your character. Robes and staffs for your mage will be more easily found in shops and loot around Cyrodil. New, stronger potions will be available for high level characters, and more poisons will turn up in loot. Looting caves, forts, mines, and ayleid ruins is will be more prosperous for your character than ever. I also plan on adding a new faction and a few quests. I need ideas.

 

Ideas you can give me:

a faction name

quest ideas

pm me meshes and textures for armor and weapons

already created mod you want me to include (under 250kb please, no 7z files!)

expansion name

any other requests or ideas

 

im watching my pm, and I will try to check this at least once a day

hey, if this mod hasn't die out? i have an idea, in the city of sithis, have the player do a series of evil deeds from sithis himself, of course it requires the player to be the listener of the DB and eventually meeting with the dark lord himself!

He's a key member in a lot of mods (Project Serpent being one of them), so he's obviously a busy person (plus he runs his own forums). Knowing Septim, OE won't die. Once he finishes his current assignment for PS that should take a decent load off his shoulders. So just be patient. :)

Wow! Been a long time since I have posted an update! Well, I'll fill everybody in on what's been going on.

 

First of all, we have a cool page on my forums where all of the announced features are listed. Currently announced is: five new armor sets, six new weapon sets, three new playable races, two new locations, a new creature, a new companion, and the Collector's Edition. If you want read about these and see the complete list of new content, please click here.

 

I am trying to build up a sheet with questions and answers pertaining to the mod project. If you have ANY questions, PLEASE ask them. You can PM me here, at Septim741 Forums, or at TES forums at any time, and I will read and reply as soon as possible.

 

Before anybody asks, I am going to go ahead and say that we don not have a set release dat yet, but we expect to be finished sometime in July.

 

We don't have any official screens yet, but they are on their way.

 

Speaking of progress, I anticipate adding some progress bars or at least some percentages to the OE Information page, which I gave a link to in the second paragraph.

 

I look forward to some feedback on the new content, as well as questions concerning the mod.

The Main Quest:

The Elves of Vetynn have come to Cyrodill in search of a way to reclaim their ancient homeland. You are the only one who can solve the mystery of how they were driven from their homeland and lead their armies into battle to reconquer it. Will you lead the Elves of Vetynn back to their homeland and to eternal happiness, or will you send an entire civilization to their doom?
