Abramul
...Thanks. I did plan on the battle beginning as you raid the sigil place, then you are teleported to the battle. I had the idea that the Daedric Legion was immortal. They will be. The whole quest leads up to the Aedra finding out that the daedric legion is immortal and there is no way to stop them. They say that they will hold them off as long as they could, and you decide that there COULD be a way to defeat them. YOu use a portal in the city in Aetherius and it teleports you to the Sigil Palace. You have to go through it and find the Sigil Originator. The Sigil Originator created the Sigil Stones, and so has more magic than you can imagine. YOu collect the various stones around the room that give resistance to fire, frost, etc... and use them on yourself. Then you have to defeat the Sigil ORiginator and claim the Sigil of the Daedric Legion. Put it on a sword that you claimed in an earlier quest and a script effect allows it to do damage to Daedric Legion Faction. Take a portal from there to the battlefield, challenge the leader, and destroy him and the Mehrunes Sigil. The aedra copy the sword effect with magic onto their own weapons and finish the Daedric LEgion off. You are honored as Prince of Aetherius and receive a full set of Armor, Waepons, and other stuff. That is the last part of the quest.Daedra are, by definition, immortal."Aedra are associated with stasis. Daedra represent change. Aedra created the mortal world and are bound to the Earth Bones. Daedra, who cannot create, have the power to change. As part of the divine contract of creation, the Aedra can be killed. Witness Lorkhan and the moons. The protean Daedra, for whom the rules do not apply, can only be banished."Perhaps you might consider the use of a protonymic?
Guest Tessera
Daedra are, by definition, immortal. This is very true and in fact, there's a book to be found in-game that was either written by one of the Daedra, or it's a book of quotes from them. I forget the book's name offhand. In that book, one of the Daedra says, in no uncertain terms, that the Daedric beings are not born in the customary sense, nor can they ever die... probably because they are not actually life as we know it at all. They're demi-gods, more or less. You can banish them to a neutral plane for awhile (as happens when you "defeat" one in battle), but that's about it. In that same book, the Daedra also said that he viewed our kind as nothing more than clever animals to be hunted for sport...

You still have to find a weapon that kills daedra, or banishes them, whatever you prefer. TO add to the battle, somewhere in the quest a Black Horse Courier is sent out, telling about the divine war, and how you are helping. It also names a gathering point. People from all over Cyrodill gather and teleport into the divine battlefield, so you have hundreds more allies. I have begun working on the quest, and it's confusing. It IS a start however. Tiberiu911
I will be looking forward to this mod. If you will ever need a custom mesh for your mod, give me a call. If im not to busy, I'll consider it. If you are stuck somewhere in the plot, ask me. I can be very imaginative sometimes....
Septim741
I will be looking forward to this mod. If you will ever need a custom mesh for your mod, give me a call. If im not to busy, I'll consider it. If you are stuck somewhere in the plot, ask me. I can be very imaginative sometimes.... Thank you very much Tiberiu. In fact I would like one texture created. Don't worry, there is still months before Aetherius is complete. I wanted a new daedric texture for a longsword or warhammer to use as the new weapon that banishes/kills the daedric legion. To save space, I only want the texture, and not a new mesh. Tiberiu doesn't have to be the only person to do this, anybody is welcome to. In the meantime, Tiberiu and Povuholo, I am focusing on the quest in Aetherius. Like I said before, things are bound to come up. Povuholo, I will be using your quest tutorial in the tutorial section, as well as the WIKI. It is always best to hear two points of view on how to do something, and then choose the right one. I am very pleased to announce that Aetherius should be completely compatible with OOO. Ottous_1 provided me a link to an online readme with a complete list of changes. I am pretty sure that there will be little or no conflicts, as I do not edit anything OOO does. To add ot that, most of the difficulty issues I planned to fix have already been done. This takes a ton off of the workload, and OOO will be under the list of recommended mods, but not required. In addition to having less to do because of OOO, the timeline has changed, and Aetherius will likely be finished earlier than expected. Going through the bandits/enemies in the CS is very time consuming. Overall, I am going to say that Aetherius will finished two weeks earlier than expected. I also have changed the Estimated Percentage of Completion from 5% to 10%. This is not necessarily good news. I began Aetherius September 26. It has been 42 days since I started. At this rate, Aetherius will be completed in 368 days. Thats over a year. I am going to spend most of the following week in the CS questing, and less time on the forums, so I may not be able to respond to your post. By next Monday, I hope to have Aetherius up to 20%. I updated my sig again, and I think it looks better. I moved the link to the pict to save space and to compress it to the signature size requirements posted by Dark0ne. I spent a lot of precous time last night putting up links to everybody's page. (Click on your name, if it's there, and you'll see.) I will post more news as it comes up. Feel free to PM me. I wanted a new daedric texture for a longsword or warhammer to use as the new weapon that banishes/kills the daedric legion. To save space, I only want the texture, and not a new mesh I belive I said a new mesh. . A mesh takes alot less space than a texture belive me I checked (2 kb against 179 kb). If I'll make something, it will more likely be a new mesh (I dislike texturing so if I'll put time on it I would rather have it on my work) + texture. I could make a daedric looking sword using besthesdas daedric meshes if you want, or a mix up of different daedric textures from the game.
Lord Furgy
Sounds like a great mod-to-be. Here are 2 armor pieces that might be of interest to make. Gondorian Armor Helmet from Gladiator Perhaps a quest where u take soldiers from the Legion and track down a group of bandits or marauders "Myrmidons" for a faction. I don't know

Gondorian Armor Helmet from Gladiator Perhaps a quest where u take soldiers from the Legion and track down a group of bandits or marauders "Myrmidons" for a faction. I don't know Thank you Lord Furgy. I appreciate your suggestions. Myrmidon is a rank in the arena, and the repetition of the name wouldn't be appreciated. About the Legion. I have already considered making the Imperial Legion a faction that can be joined by the player, but I am not sure yet. I probably won't decide until the Aetherius quests are completed, the armor is loaded, loot has been tweaked, and I am stisfied with the results. It will more likely be an update after it has been uploaded to the Source. Serpent of Shadow denied me a position in concept art and writing/ideas. I need to send some landscaping picts to him so he can judge if I would aid him in landscaping. This just means that, without having to do concept art and writing, I can focus more an Aetherius. All the suggestions and questions have been great. Thank you all! I am working on a preview video, and if it is complete, I will upload it to TESSource this upcoming Saturday. I look forward to all the comments.
CJD
the Myrmidons were also the name of the soldiers under the allegiance of Achilles in the Battle of Troy. this looks like it is coming on nicely. for the 500 deadra and aedra war, it should be like a deadric seige on an aedric fortresss, with archers cutting down the deadra, while about ten deadra come out of the gate, every time ten aedra come out of the fortress. there could also be deadra archers, trying futile attempts to kill the aedric archers. this battle could be EPIC. p.s love the sig Septim741

Yes, I thought it should be "epic". p.s love the sig Septim741 Thank you, it's the least I can do for now. I want to thank you especially for the whole idea of the battle. You probably made Aethrius ten times better than it would have been. I plan on putting in several Daedric Siege engines as well as several havoc traps for the daedra.
