lithan1
hey i've been banned from the chat for I have no idea how long for swearing, I apologize for that and I will try to be more careful, I just want to be unbanned from it, the reason why I am posting this in this forum is cause I have had this great idea for a Fast Travel mod for Skyrim and I want to post it in chat cause I find it more reliable to know i have a response for that on there cause I don't get e-mails for replies to my posts on here, so please unban me so I can express this idea and get a response
TheVampireDante
There's no record of you being banned from the chat. Mod ideas should be postesd in the mod talk or mod requests forum anyway.
Oubliette
Forums are best for mod requests and you can "follow" any topic, including those you make by clicking on the "follow this topic" button at the upper right hand side of the thread. You'll then be able to keep up with your followed content by going up to your username in the upper left of the forums and choosing the "content I follow" from the drop down menu provided by your name. lithan1
Yeah I figured that out, and yeah I was banned from the chat, it was a long time ago so it may not show up, but i will post my idea in the correct forum and choose to follow it
bben46
When you post on chat the ONLY people who see your post are those currently on chat - typically a dozen or so. Currently 7. What is the probability that any of those are actually playing that specific game and making mods for it and will even be interested in making your suggested mod? My guess is somewhere around zero. Sure they may comment on it - which means not much. And that chat idea will be gone from the screen in just a few minutes or even seconds if many people are on chat. On the other hand - posting in the mod requests for the game you would like to see that mod in it will be seen by hundreds or even thousands of members - all of whom are interested in that specific game. The probability of a real mod author seeing it and actually doing something with it is much higher. And, it doesn't go away. If not many people are posting ideas for that game your suggestion could easily hang around on the front page for several days, then still be there for those who always check for the posts they haven't seen in the forums they are interested in. I have seen ideas dug up from a year previous being made. As for getting unbanned from chat - there is an unban request procedure where you can make a case for being unbanned. http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/about/unban/
lithan1
Only one problem, that only works if i'm banned from the site entirely, i'm only banned from the forum chat, everything else I have standard access to
