well, from what i know, red boxes, or exclamation marks are due to not having Archive Invalidation installed properly

have you installed it, and then updated the game??

because there is something that needs to be changed in how it's written, in order for it to work

look here

as far as i know, this should work (can't recall how i did it for mine......)

i just reread the discription and i think i might have figured it out.

Important Notes

-This file must be run from the data folder. Sorry, this isn't advanced as Quarn's version at least not yet, stay with me as I try to bring it up to par.

-WARNING: The AII-FNV!.bsa still must be located in the data folder.

i had the file in the falloutnewvegas directory not the data foldler i hope it works now.

if you still have other ideas pls reply

well, i looked at what i did

look in your computer, in the folder where you have the save files (should be documents -> my games -> FalloutNV or something like that

inside this folder should be a saves folder, and several files

one of them is the Fallout.ini (i'm not sure if you need to change it in the Fallout.ini OR the FalloutPrefs.ini)

open this file

search the file for Archive, it should lead you to a section named Archive

make sure that the lines you have match what i'll post here (not all the lines, just the few that i'll post)

bInvalidateOlderFiles=1

SArchiveList=Fallout - Voices1.bsa, Fallout - Sound.bsa, Fallout - Misc.bsa, ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated!.bsa, Fallout - Textures.bsa, Fallout - Textures2.bsa, Fallout - Meshes.bsa

i'm not sure if the first of the two lines matter, but i am sure that the second one does

if the second line doesn't match yours (watch the order of the BSA archives) then you will need to change it

i would recommend you back up you Fallout.ini before doing so, and then try it, and see if this works

i think that this should do the trick, but i can't promise anything

anyhow, i'm going to sleep now, as it's almost 4 am, so i'll be back in a few hours
