need help for creating a mod

again i decided to try to get into modding

i failed with different tutorials cause certain options were not available for me, for what

reason ever O.o

 

anyway i wanted to ask if anyone would bother helping me creating to following (i think

quite simple) mod:

 

i want to lengthen the ion dagger to a short- and a longsword

MAYBE ill try to retexture it, too

 

soooo...would anyone agree helping me (telling me what i need to do it, explaining how

it is done, help me out with problems, ....)
