IranContra
Hi there i have some huge problems with my new vegas. 1. If charakters wearing a Hat,its sould look like this. But when they wearing a head in my game, they have always a bald under the hat. 2. The haircuts do not fit with the Head Meshes. So i have some ugly bugs, because the Head is to Big and shows through the Hair. How can i fix this?
WastelandAssassin
well, the first part isn't a bug (at least not as far as i know)you see, a hat could use the hair slot, which means that you will not see the hair under the hat (look at Cass as an example)however, you can change it so that the hat doesn't use this slot, but as far as i know, doing so could cause really weird and ugly cases of hairs going through the hat (happens in my game for some reason, and it looks REALLY BAD) as for the second problem, i have just the same thing, and can't figure out whywhich hair mod are you using??it started happening to me after taking Mikotos' pack, but from the amount of people happily using it, i think it's not the mod to blame, so i am really as lost as you are on this

She also has still scalp hair when shes wearing the Hood. Why just my NV has this Bug? which hair mod are you using??No one. I said nothing about using mods because i don't. That would just make this thing more complicated.

I don't recall any time during my vanilla play through where my character went bald while wearing a hat, and with the selection of hairstyles so limited, they all seemed to work as intended to me. Are you using a custom hat then (which would also be a mod) as I don't think I've ever seen the problem you describe with the standard hairstyles. Oh, and Veronica's hair is basically the same without the hood, short and flat. From another post from FluidFire: "When you unpack the BSA's to do modding for Fallout NV, the NPC's grow abnormally large foreheads which make people, well, half-bald, and make it so hair sticks out of hats, or hats become embedded in the NPC heads. Boone, in particular, looks really bad... Anyway, the fix is to go to data\meshes\ and rename the "characters" directory to something else, like "characters-temp". Or, optionally, if you don't use it in your modding, just delete it altogether and the game will revert to pulling character meshes from the packed BSA. It's worth noting that if you use body-replacer mods, it may revert this behavior and cause the "big head syndrome" again.
