Ilthimar
Hey everybody. Thought I'd try here, since nothing I do seems to fix this issue. I've been playing through Fallout 3 again (Ya know, to recapture some of the 'old magic' and funny death-copters) and I've noticed something about one of my DLCs. I make it to the Outcasts. I kill off all of the mutants on the way. I get inside the base. I get briefly nekkid to put on the Nueral suit. I go *entirely* through the simulation. Now, here's where it gets annoying. No matter how I kill the Chinese General, after I get 'debriefed' for the millionth time (been trying different things for a while now), my screen goes all fuzzy as the simulation starts to end. Then, anywhere between that moment, and to just before the screen stops being white from the inside of the pod, the game will crash. Just.. crash. I don't understand the jargon-jibberish thats on the error document that would be sent to Microsoft, and I've even tried reinstalling the mod. Hell, I even went and downloaded it to try it from another source. Same crash. Same place. Don't know how to get the Load order for my mods, but currently I'm running Fook2 and SOME of Mart's Mutant Mod mods. Tried it WITH the one for anchorage (on both) and without (on both.) Nothing changes. Except my inventory. And frankly, I've got a gun thats good for my Self Esteem (A Tavor. Loud machine gun. 47 damage per 3 bullet burst at 70% condition. NICE.) Any suggestions/helpful comments/funny anecdotes? If I have to, I'll just "unlock" the door with the gun I want, take the Winterized armor, and be on my way. Critting Raiders in the face isn't the same if it isn't a high-velocity Gauss Blast. Nothing adds to that "Cha-ching!" of earning exp like seeing the guy I just maimed for eternity flying backwards over his companions. Oh, also, the "completequest" commands don't ever work in the console. Tried them. They give me an 'unsaved variable" error, or something like that. I'm terrible.) to try it from another source. Same crash. Same place. Don't know how to get the Load order for my mods, but currently I'm running Fook2 and SOME of Mart's Mutant Mod mods. Oh, also, the "completequest" commands don't ever work in the console. Tried them. They give me an 'unsaved variable" error, or something like that. Not really much I can suggest in this case, but try getting these to help you out:Fallout Mod Manager (commonly referred to as FOMM, this will tell you your Load Order, along with lots of other useful stuff)FO3Edit (used to resolve conflicts between mods and to create a merged patch so that your installed mods should play better together)Wrye Flash (another mod manager with lots of extra features)ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated (included with FOMM, useful to read up on this very important must have utility) For anyone to be able to help you with problems you need to include you Load Order so that people can quickly see if you're loading installed mods in the correct order, especially when running a couple of the big ones like FOOK2 and MMM! Oh, and in regards to the "completequest" console command not working due to an "unsaved variable" error, what is the full command that you're entering in the console? You might want to check Fallout Wiki - Gamebryo Console Commands page (scroll down to find the section about quests).
