PeteRimbalzo
I've been playing since the games release and about a year ago I decided to get some mods. I got lady of the forest, succubus, and NBaio. Well I have cousins you want to play sometimes and so I needed to remove the NBaio. Found out I couldn't. I did a work around and put on the Thesius w/underwear. So I removed all the mods but NBaio would still register. So I deleted my mods and re-installed DAO. Yet upon starting the game they were still under the effect of the mod. Not sure if theirs some kind of Temp folder I need to delete or what? Any suggestions TimeLine ----------------------------------------------------------------------------Got gamecouple months passedgot modscouple months passedneeded to remove mods, and couldn't.---------------------------------------------------------------------------- I use the DAOmanager now but even this removal process doesn't work. Thandal
Welcome, Pete! Sorry you're having a problem. You said you use DAMM "now", but DAMM is the ONLY way to install NBaio. Did you have the straight forward (NON-all-in-one) "Natural Bodies" installed previously? Presuming that you did have DAMM before, and had installed NBaio using it, when you went to remove it did you follow the below procedure? 1. Start DAMM2. Right click on NBaio found in the center "Installed Overrides" panel3. Select "Uninstall" That should do it. But if not, you can look in your "...\[user's documents]\Bioware\Dragon Age\packages\core\override" folder for the subfolder named "NBaio" that the program NBaio creates to hold the "current" set of body models you've selected. (Ok, technically it's a "script", not a program. But you know what I mean...) NOTE: If you choose "Keep Characters and Saves" during an un-/re-install of the game, all your mods (including this one) are retained as well. The uninstall routine will ignore the user's folders completely. If it's not there, and/or that STILL doesn't clear NBaio, then you'll need to figure out where you told DAMM to store ".override" files. You may have set it to something non-standard. PeteRimbalzo
K, I did a full re-install all mods deleted and I didn't keep any previous saves or settings. Got it all done and the NB is still in effect with everything deleted. When I did install awakening though it didn't ask for the Key Registry so that must mean that I have something hidden somewhere right? I did a few searches for all files pertaining to NB but it must be hidden in another file.
Thandal
[ALMOST FORGOT. You did try equipping some armour/robes on any naked characters and then unequipping to see what happens, didn't you? It may be that the game holds the "last known appearance" for each character, and won't change it until there is a programming action that requires retreiveing a new body or face model.] Not "hidden", but not where expected. The default location would be:"...\[user's documents]\Bioware\Dragon Age\packages\core\override\nbaio" Which would contain the single file "OverrideConfig.xml", and the following two sub-folders:...\Defaults...\VariantsWhich, in turn, contain the whole series of individual files for the models and looks by race and gender. If those files and folders aren't on your system in a path that daorigins.exe can find, then it isn't NBaio that's producing your unclothed characters. (Other mods do achieve the same "Look ma, no small clothes!" effect...) Since there is no other file or folder in either my user's documents, or the program's "Dragon Age" folder with "Variants" in the name, you could probably search for that alone and see if there's anything on your drive. Good Luck! PeteRimbalzo
Finally found it. The override files were hiding in a hidden folder in the users directory :). Took a few days. Thanks for the help Thandal.
