BerlinRunner
Hello Nexus, Well, I've tried my hand at trying to figure this out and now I'm coming to the request forums. To put it plain and simple, I want a rifle butt that I took of a trail carbine to be attached to the end of a 22 SMG. As simple as this sounds, the solution has been quite the opposite. I've tried multiple suggestions but I keep running into the same issue of the rifle not being visible in the GECK. I believe the rifle butt might be possibly missing a texture, Idk as I've attempted to add a texture to no avail. When pulled in Blender though, at one point, the rifle butt had a texture. At this point I have been trying to solve this issue for almost two months, and I've regrettably thrown the towel on trying to figure it out on my own. If someone can complete this request, i'll greatly appreciate it. If you could provide a step by step documentation of how you did and where I went wrong, that would be amazing as well. This will help in future endeavors with custom meshes and guns. I will provide the appropriate files you will need to accomplish this request. Thank you for your time, the files are below. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ei1evd7p3ji6fnj/Feral%20Carbine%20TEST%20MARK%204.nif?dl=0 <<<<< Custom Gun with Rifle Butt (Attempt) https://www.dropbox.com/s/ef7ehbm1z1njo4y/riflebuttpart2.nif?dl=0 <<<< Rifle Butt (NIfskope file) https://www.dropbox.com/s/ssa2rlknrtscvam/riflebutt.3ds?dl=0 <<<< Rifle Butt (3ds file)
devinpatterson
I can take a shot at this if you want (time permitting), but I won't have time to do a tutorial or troubleshoot your file, rather I'd just put one together myself. If that's good for you let me know and I'll see if I can squeeze it in.
BerlinRunner
That's fine, if you could at least briefly tell me what I did wrong or what I was missing than even better. If you are able to give me the nif file as well once your done, that would be awesome. Thanks Devin!

Unfortunately I'm short on time, so *if* I'm able to squeeze it in, I'd just put it together for you (probably without even looking at your files). Maybe in the future when I have more time I can take a look at your nif and offer some suggestions

vTemporalZEROv
Literally? That is it? I could seriously do that in like 10 mins.. Do you want it to be a replacer? Separate weapon? Like???

It's going to be a separate weapon. If you can do that, great. Also if you could take a look at my files and see what's wrong, and tell me what I needed to fix, I'd greatly appreciate it as well. Thank you, Temporal.
vTemporalZEROv
This ~should~ work, I didn't test it in the geck yet, but I connected the guns pretty well, sorry for the late reply, was busy doing something. http://www.mediafire.com/download/810h1sr26o0l44l/Feral+Carbine+TEST+MARK+5.nif I saw your mesh in Blender.... you had a lotta stuff going on, I didn't even know where to start. I just extracted the 22smg and the brushgun from the meshes.bsa directly to restart cleanly lol

If it would possible, you could you a quick, bullet point process of what you did? I followed most of the tutorials I've watch to the exact punctuation mark so Idk how bad I had messed it up. Thank you so much again.
vTemporalZEROv
It was a good start, my question is does it work fine in the geck and such? I don't wanna give a messy tutorial if it doesn't work x)
