Windows to Apple

Greets, one and all.

I've a quick (And probably a rather silly) question. I'm buying an iMac, and getting rid of this laptop,

preferably by fire, and I was wondering. Will I need to buy a new/different version of Dragon Age?

Is my future iMac even compatible with games such as Dragon Age?

Hoping that the answer to that last part is 'Yes', that leads me to my second question. What about

mods? I mean, they've all got handy little instructions which are, as I've noticed, all for Windows.

Are they compatible with Apple's shiny machines?

If this is a particularly stupid question, you'll have to excuse me. When it comes to computers, I'm

the guy that gets picked last on the metaphorical team, so to speak.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, DA is available for the Mac but you need to buy it again. Mods should work but you will need to figure out the directory structure to find your override.

Now I must ask the question, if you are into games, why buy a Mac? Game releases for the Mac usually come many months after the PC release, if at all. My advice to you is unless you absolutely must have the Mac for work or school, spend that money on a high end Win7 desktop or laptop. If you go the laptop route make sure it has a real video card and not that onboard garbage (like my laptop has.)

Buy it again, eh? Oh well.. Worth it.

And to answer your question, I am into games, though not overly. The only ones I really play (Or played, since

my laptop has all the technical quality of a cardboard brick) are DA:O, Fallout: New Vegas and Mass Effect-

That's really where it stops. I am aware that Mac is a bit behind on game releases, but that really isn't that much

of a problem for me.

And, indeed, I simply need it for work. Well.. I don't need it, but it'd make my life a right sight easier.

And I do like easy.

Either way! Thanks a bundle for the fast answer, buying it new it is.
