Branching paths questline

I hate games that advertise branching storylines within their campaigns, but the only thing that changes based on how you play is the ending, based entirely on how you handle the final leg of the story. Indigo Prophecy, Splinter Cell: Double Agent, and the list goes on and on.

I'd like to see a mod here in Skyrim (or even in Oblivion: I'll be posting a request there, too) where I actually undertake entirely different quests based on how I handle previous quests. For example, whether I join one faction or its enemy faction would send me down two completely different questlines. About a third the way through the questline, I'm given the chance to spare someone's life; if I let them live, they MIGHT simply become a follower after the questline is over (a la Cicero), but at the same time, they could also relay valuable intelligence to the opposing faction that would change the landscape of the entire questline .. or they could relay that valuable information to MY boss. My first time playing, I would have no way of knowing.

I could fail to get a powerful weapon, and it could either be lost for the remainder of the questline ... or the enemies could get it, giving their troops a powerful advantage over my own.

Of course, if I'm even going after a weapon, or letting a person live, would depend (without me realizing it) on which side I joined.

Are there any mods out there like that?
