The Oblivion mod 3rd person animations in 1st person view is definitely one of the most immersive mods for oblivion and would probably do the same for Fallout New Vegas.

If anyone knows how to make this, it would definitely become one of the most popular mods available!!!

Don't you think the majority of the animations for New Vegas would be vastly different from Oblivion? (Gun animations, no more spells etc...)

I guess it could work with idles and melee weapons. It's pretty immersion-breaking to see a knife/pipe/supersledge held in front of your face in first person, but see it held to your side in third person. xD Guns, methinks, should have their origins lowered as if pointing to the ground when idle, but should not entirely leave the character's view. Aiming and reloading anims are fine as they are, unless you want your character to look down every time you reload (i'd want it this way).

Headbob should also be put in. ^^

Oh sorry if I confused anyone..

I did not mean using oblivion animations would be great..

I just meant using the 3rd person animations in New Vegas in 1st person would be great.. just like in the original mod.

Since the original mod had no .esp file, what I think he/she did was make a skeleton (there's a skeleton.nif in the mod) that allowed the 3rd person animations to work in 1st person view. That's why when you swim or even when your running you can see you arms moving like how it was in 1st person.

So if this was in New Vegas there should be the head bobbing, with the gun held sideways and swaying, etc. just like in cinematic sequences in a lot of modern first person shooters.

Of course I don't actually know how to do animations so I am actually just guessing that, that is how he did it.
