SylvanRuin
I cant believe this is happening :( Oblivion is crashing and all sorts of things :( I used bben's reinstalling procedure, and I restored my old data folder to the fresh install, along with my Oblivion folder with all the saves and ini. Nothing was wrong with the game before I uninstalled, I just wanted to reinstall it to an alternate folder to Program FIles (x86) so I could use Wrye Bash and BOSS properly. everytime I try to load a save, this message comes up: (At the top it says) Microsoft Visual C ++ Debug Library (and in the actual message it says) Debug Error Program C:\Games\Oblivion.exeModule: C:\Games\Data\OBSE\Plugins\NiifSE.dll File: Runtime Check Failure #3- The variable 'nifID' is being used without being initialised. Im absolutely devastated, what will I do now?
Smooth613
By the error message it would seem you do not have the proper Visual C++ Libraries. You'll need to install them, or remove NifSE which relies on these libraries to function properly. However you should take note that any mod you have installed that requires NifSE will no longer function correctly. Deadly Reflex 6 comes to mind here. Below are the links to the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Libraries 2008 and 2010 Redist. Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package

And besides, I uninstalled the NiifSE and the game started, but then it crashes whenever I go through a door or try to save :(

Ive had issues like that and i made a clean save and waited for 14 days then save again, new file, and continue through he door and it will work
