cdbbc25
Hey, new to the GECK, been learning the very basics by designing a simple interior to connect to the wasteland in goodsprings. Its only a test mod, nothing serious, just a small corridor connected to a door in goodsprings. Or at least that was the plan. I have made the interior, cluttered it, nav mesh'd it, made an NPC etc, and I have visited it in the game through console, and it mostly seems alright. But no matter what I do I cannot connect the interior door and the exterior door in goodsprings to each other as a teleporter. The crosshair is supposed to change colour when you hover over the door, but it doesnt. It wont select it. In the game, the exterior door strangely enough teleports me to the same spot the player is taken too after leaving doc mitchells house. I have not set it to do this at all. The interior door just opens into nothingness. I have to be missing something here. Am I using the wrong type of door in the interior? I chose rivet city pieces because they fit well. But is there specific doors for teleporting and merely moving between cells in the same worldspace? Please help, this is all that is stopping me from learning how to use GECK properly. Quetzlsacatanango
The ref you're connecting to has to be persistent and has to be a door. If it's not persisten, the cursor won't change color. To make it persisten, open the properties and tick the box at the bottom.
cdbbc25
Ah, forget I said anything, it appears I have somehow fixed it. But it was a problem, thats for sure. Everything has become a lot easier since I got FOMM. If I do run into it again ill leave a message in this thread.
