Sengoku Jidai

Hello everyone this is just an idea I have, and was wondering if anyone out there would be willing to help me in the mod.

My idea is to bring the Sengoku period (Warring States Period) of japan to oblivion. This mod can literally go anywhere, meaning the main quest. I honestly have no direction in this mod as of yet, but I would like you guys to put some of your thoughts in this to hopefully get this going!

As of world map, I am thinking of not creating all of Japan because just the size of it will just be too much, but more of a certain region of Japan instead. Like southern Japan, central Japan, or northern Japan.

Main quest could be anything as of now. Some ideas could be...

-Your village burned down by a Daimyo and you want revenge...

-High ranked officer becomes a ronin (samurai w/o a master) from A) his daimyo dies from another shogun

B) framed for the murder of the daimyo and seeks justice

-Dragged into a war to become a high ranked officer and see the fall of a shogun

These are just some idea I came up with and as you can see it can go anywhere.

I plan on using real life Daimyos and clans. Real cities, castles, and villages of the region. Lots of side quests involving bandits, escorting VIPs, protecting villages, bounties, ect.

So please feel free to discuss about what I have said! Hope to see some constructive comments soon!

You have a whole world of thinking left to do, before any constructive feedback can be made on this one.

I don't mean to strangle the baby in it's crib, but you seem to have left off with, "How would you like me to reskin Oblivion for you to make it Japanese?" as if making something feudal Japanese is all you would need to do make it a good mod  , and,"How about I get rid of magic?"

I hope you weren't thinking, "Oh, a Sengoku Jidai themed conversion of Oblivion would be cool because then it would be FEUDAL JAPANESE!!" You have to try thinking along the lines of "How am I going to make this an enjoyable experience (theme being what it may)?"

On another note, you might want to hold any total conversion dreams you have, for the release of TES V: Skyrim, in any case.
