IkelW
ALRIGHT!!! I finally have it downloading the files... I decided to download Mozilla Firefox and search through mods with that, it's a little bit more memory, but not much, so it works. Thanks a whole lot!Ikel
IkelW
Well, I got the downloads working, but unfortunately trying to install them with the daupdater keeps giving me "error" on all of the mods I try to install, if anybody has any idea what the problem is I'd love the help. Thanks!Ikel
DarkeWolf
Heyas Ike- Really glad to hear that you got them to actually download. BUT really sorry to hear that you're having troubles getting them to install. :( Most likely, the cause is because you have to download them in .zip .rar or .7z format (the sites will not allow an upload in .dazip format, for example). daupdater.exe can ONLY handle .dazip format files. So you will need to unzip/extract/unpack the files from the compressed format that you download them in.so if you dont have a program that can unzip all those formats you need a prog like winrar, 7zip, or peazip. you may also consider a better installer than daupdater.exe.There is DAModder (DAM) which can handle .dazip and .zip files for installation- http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=286and there is DAModManager (DAMM) http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=277 which handles .dazip and .override files for installation. I like them both, but I really like DAMM because like daupdater.exe you can check/uncheck your mods from it. Which will come in VERY handy when you are playing with mods that add items to inventory.Notorious bug with those mods. You have to uncheck all those mods before starting the new character or else they won't load up like they are supposed to. Then just play the character til you can save the game. Exit, REcheck the mods, and start the game again, and they should load up as they are supposed to. Edit- also if you decide that you want to go with a nude mod, and choose to go with Natural Bodies All in One (NBaiO) (requires DAMM to install) Ignore the directions given by the mod, and use my tute instead. http://www.dragonagenexus.com/articles/article.php?id=38 Edited December 16, 2010 by DarkeWolf

Thanks!IkelHey IkelW; As DW said, glad you got downloads working. Something that is NOT very clear to new DA players is that mods for the game come in at least three different forms. DAUpdate can only handle ".dazip" files. Which is probably the smallest category (by total number) of all of them. In addition to DW's article on using DAMM, you might want to check-out my mini-tutorial in the second post here: "Using DA Mods for Dummies". There's also a link to some recommendations for "good mods' in there. Happy Modding!
