CravenMadness
This is getting almost to the point of frustration. Nothing I do seems to get the mods to go into effect except for a few of the 'other' variant mods (non .dazip, non .override) that I can just drag and drop into the C:\program files(x86)\Steam\SteamApps\Common\DragonAge Ultimate Edition\packages\core\override extension. Variants such as the "More Hairstyles" and "PTs Vibrant Colors" character generator mods. I also even believe the 'Equal Love' mod is functioning properly (I am able to romance Morrigan and Leiliana as a female character.) I have my DAMM unzipped into my '\DragonAge Ultimate Edition" folder (I read somewhere that that makes a difference.) I have various .dazip files unzipped into the accompanying 'mods' folder. .dazips such as dao_extradogslot_1_41-664.dazip and no_helmet_hack_1_6.dazip and Delux Dusk Equipment-589.dazip (as well as several others I'm not going to bother specifying for this post.) When I open up DAMM it shows all the .dazips on this list (and the ones I didn't bother listing) as 'installed' and yet when I go in game there are no traces of them. I have also attempted to use the built in DAUpdater.exe program in the bin_ship folder to install these various .dazips to equal effect (IE none). I have found where the DAUpdater.exe program installed the various files (or at least found files with the corresponding names) and it was put into my 'Documents\BioWare\DragonAge' path directory, so I copied all of those files (after changing the names to '... from documents' so I could keep track of them) into the Steam install path corresponding folder hoping that might put the files into a place where they would be read. I have read over just about every single topic I can find through the search function on DA:O modding, I have read over the 'DA:O modding for dummies' nexus wiki thread. I understand that the process should be very simple, and I'm wracking my brain trying to figure out why what I am doing is not working.
CravenMadness
Just popped in to say that I figured out what the problem was. Pretty damn simple in the end ( as such things usually are ). I run my Steam as Administrator. So I had to run DAMmanager as administrator for the files to have proper permissions (or whatever it's called) to load in to the game files. ... That was it. Took me a week of dorking around and scratching my head as I followed step by step procedures but failed to produce results before it occurred to me. Anyway, hope this eventually helps someone else out.
