What are your favorite targets?

Brotherhood - As much fun as it would be to waste the bunker, I just can't bring myself to do it. The only thing I miss about the enclave was that it was like fighting BoS without the guilt.

The BoS in New Vegas are too arrogant to like in my opinion. If I'm not going to use Veronica in a playthrough I'll walk into Hidden Valley with the Pulse Gun and dare them to try and disarm me.

I concur. I've settled on taking out McNamara for putting a slave collar on me, but now that Hardin is in charge I can't find him. Is there a prison that he is in? At any rate, I took out the Van Graffs, as doing so coincided with my objectives anyways. Thinking of leaving some mines and frag grenade stocking-stuffers though after I learn Power Armor Training.

After playing unarmed I am thinking of a Sniper/Flamer build. Would like to see meltdown in action and to pop some heads from 1 mile away.

The first time I entered the bunker was with Veronica, and since then I don't bother with them till I decide to have her tag along so they've never pissed me off, though the practically broken t45 they give me after I do what they couldn't does annoy me.

I now start birds of a feather so I don't have to get stripped-search before going in the Silver Rush. I just end up crouching in a corner and sneak killing everyone but Gloria since I modified her vendor container so that they are actually the energy weapon version of the gunrunners. It's kind of sad that I can shoot them down right in front of each other without anyone blinking an eye, but I'm just that good =P

Flamer with meltdown is bad juju. The first time I got that perk I decided to tear apart the fort with my gatling laser, but the meltdown ended up blowing me up. Not sure if the perk that boosts DT to explosives will be enough to deride all that damage.

Hmmm, they say its similar to a plasma grenades, which if I am correct are affected by both explosive and energy effects. So, atomic cocktails and hit the deck should work...in theory

I am not entirely sure that what you said makes me not want to do it...or to do it more :)

SoI am guessing flamer + pyromaniac + meltdown + demolitions expert pretty much means we all die?

I remember reading fist of the north star manga, seeing the anime, and playing it on genesis as a kid. Haven't played the new one though.

Would incredible to have someone create a vats or special unarmed move that looks like kenshiros rapid punch sequence.

I've played Vegas Bounties too....................that is a pretty tasty mod! I wish the Devs had included more missions like that and a lot less of go fetch the plunger and superglue type. BORING!!! Anyway, my favorite targets are any whiny sniveling type human NPCs, "Let me put you out of my misery, Bro!" Now that I think about it.....................that sarcastic ***** Alexander, under the 188 overpass is due for some close personalised attention on my next play through!

Probably due to my life long involvement in criminal justice, law enforcement, and security...................I tend to favor predatory thuggish types as targets too. Unless of course; I'm playing a predatory  ...................then it's cool.

To be honest, the AI (enemy and friendly) in this game is awful. Once the bad guy/s ping on you....................it's invariably ZZOOOOOMM at you in a straight line (terrain permitting). No real tactical attack variations at all. Not to mention the umpteen times I've watched enemies pay no, or little attention to their patner's heads exploding, or stepping over their dead bodies. When they do react to those stimuli; it's right at you in a straight line! I think that goes a long way towards explaining why the diffculty settings don't do anything more than adjust the amount of damage being dealt by your and your enemies weapons. With AI that poor, you've gotta toughen 'em up some how. I've had some absolutely hilarious moments with companions nutting off; on killing sprees without any instructions from me..................and on the other hand; at times I've been so :wallbash: off by the same goofy antics, I'm ready to throw the comp out onto the sidewalk. While I like NV; my biggest fixes for it would be to bring in the Cry Tek Devs to code the AI for more realistic tactical reactions, and the Bohemia Interactive Studio Devs (Armed Assault Series) to code out the weapon and wound effects. Probably not gonna happen though.

I always target Legion members. Doesn't matter how many Latin phrases they spout, they're still a bunch of misogynistic thugs.

Yep, there's no way to justify the AI as even adequate. Even the Original Doom seemed to do a better job. Which also would explain why it seems a lot of us tend to gravitate towards the humanoid targets, as we have to derive most of our "pleasure" in eradicating folks we don't like. I always make it a point to take out Caesar before finishing the end quest, even though he wouldn't matter by that point anyway.

I did find it surprising how insignificant Caesar himself is by the end of the game.
